I Cried Like a Baby

I admit that I cried like a baby throughout most of the movie. I rented it last night and it was great. I love dogs, I have a beautiful white Canaanite dog named Snow and after watching the film I gave her a big hug and kiss. If you are a dog lover like me than "Eight Below" is definitely a must see.

How could the other dogs escape their chains from being thin enough after loosing weight from not eating in a while but old Jack couldn't??

ALL these posts make me feel like crying! I don't think I can EVER see this movie from beginning to end. Thinking about it makes me really depressed. I thought Two Brothers was sad...well it's like a bed of roses next to this movie...

I finished watching it about 5 minutes ago, even though I am a guy I could not stop the tears flowing during this movie. At the end when he found Myra I sobbed like a baby. I felt so sorry for Max wheb he stayed with Dewey when he died and then he got seperated from the other five dogs

Now I have to buy this movie

ME TOO!!

I have just seen it.. I still got my eyes pretty wet.

My family got a dog. A little shetland sheepdog. And if that wasn't enough to shake me off my feet, my feelings for dogs are enormous. I like all animals, but there is something special about dogs for me. This movie grabbed me totally!

Ah.. My eyes are getting wetter now....

A gratitude to those who made that movie!

this movie is Pathetique. go see this here:

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0085991/

THIS IS THE REAL STORY ABOUT WHAT HAPPEN.

Spoiler: Only 2 dogs survived this. All the other dies and they show you clearly how they die.

If you think 8 below was sad... they you didnt see anything truly sad.

I agree with Patboy, you must see Nankyoku Monogatari. It's a tear-jerker, and it's hard to forget the 8th dog that escaped from the chains to only die first.

p.s. In case you guys missed my earlier posts, here's the ending to that movie.

I don't think I stopped crying from the moment they left them there, and even still as I'm typing my eyes are all puffed up and watery..

when I was about 4 years old I got a puppy German Sheppard part husky he had a nice big curly tail, black and white he was gorgeous.. he lived till about 14, when I came home from school he wasen't there anymore, my dad had him put down, his back legs where very bad (typical for sheppards) old and sick. I miss him very very much.. now at 33yrs of age I have a Black Lab and I'm seeing signs of her getting old she is now 13, It breaks my heart how we can have something that will love you unconditionally but yet is unable to tell us how they are feeling, through words.

This film made you see the love, ranking and most of all loyalty between the dogs.

When I was watching this film my dog (baby) sat about 5 feet from the screen and watched along, she would get up when they started barking during the first hunting scene when Miya was "telling" the dogs what to do, and started to sniff the TV, I think she might of understood.

now I'm just rambling, a blubbering rambling idiot. I don't think I could watch the original, this one already put me through a lot.

Great movie. My dog, Dewey (why did his namesake have to die? :( )was barking alot at the dogs at the start of the movie but by the end he was sitting close to the tele watching, it was funny. :).

Its amazing, they become a part of you and your family and it is truly heartbreaking when you lose them, we had to get our kelpie put down last year she was about 12 and we miss her.
