I agree with many of these, but must say no movie lingered in my head longer than Cannibal Holocaust. Like it or not, it has staying power. I have shown it to friends that hated it, but continue to talk about it years later.

Finally someone mentioned L.I.E... It reminds me of Mysterious, but came out before(i think). I just watched it the other day, the ending stuck with me. There are some great titles people have mentioned in this tread, and not so great... and some I'm definitely gonna check out now :)

My god, Dear Zachary was shocking. I experience several physical reactions when the story took its tragic twist. I'm sure you know what moment I mean. I actually couldn't breathe for a few seconds.
I've never seen Salo, at least not entirely, and Irr. is one of my all time favourites. That movie makes you think.
