L'annulaire aka The Ring Finger (2005)

The Fall (2006)

*EDIT*

Wow, I just looked back over my list and got spooked a little and had to share this. It's sort of dumb but there is some very creepy word association going on there. The titles listed in the order they appear (alphabetically no less) form a kind of relationship through loose word association and title relevance. Particularly Mysterious Skin followed by "My Summer of Love" . I swear none of that was intentional. I'm creeping myself out. I go now.

Thanks for sharing!!!!

aniways, here are some films i would like to introduce, there are some asian films that i simply LOVES!

1. The Age Of Miracles (1996) , a film by my favourite director, Peter Chan. This film has beautiful cinematography and wonderful castings.

2. Paris Je'taime (2006) - Anthology film of 18 short stories. Check out 'Tour Eiffel' and 'Quartier de la Madeleine' in the film, they are funny and comical!!!!

3. Spirited Away (2001) - All i can say is, HAYAO MIYAZAKI is the BEST! Someone mentioned 'Grave of the firefiles', it's also by hayao miyazaki and it's truly a great film too. Anyone who likes that should also watch this and other Hayao's films. You will cry and cry and cry and cry, PROMISE.

4. A moment to remember (2004) - A South Korean movie that really touches my heart. The storyline is cliche, with the Alzheimer's disease and stuffs, but it's e details in the film that realli captures one's attention.

5. Accuracy of Death aka Sweet Rain (2008) - not my favourite movie but i just feel like posting it. This film doesnt have a fantastic storyline, but it has a surprising twist and a very nice song within. Great cinematography too! I love any film that has got to do with music...

Other great films that i agree with e rest would be DANCER IN THE DARK, A.I, Matrix, Pretty Woman, Lolita and more... Cheers to all u guys who love to watch movies!!!!

I don't think this one has been mentioned yet (correction: I've just read through all the new posts in the thread since last time, and I see that this film was mentioned by crunkopotomus, Tue Jul 21 2009 19:52:13):

Clean, Shaven (1993)

The reviews are right.

Until now, I /had/ thought:

Cronenberg's "Dead Ringers" was the most emotionally unbearable movie I had ever watched (brilliant, but I've never been able to bring myself to watch it again);

"Jacob's Ladder" was the scariest (in the spooky and insane kind of way);

"American History X" was the most brutal (the scariest, in a physical way) - I've never been able to bring myself to watch that one again, either.

Not any more! Only watch this if you want to feel that you've lived in Hell for an hour or so.

Bracing myself to get hold of "Requiem for a Dream", and watch that now - maybe I'm tough enough!

Very interesting thread. And of course "Mysterious Skin" really got to me, too.

cool to see a shout for Christiane F.

i just saw My Brother Tom...and I have a feeling it'll have a lasting impact like Mysterious Skin, Tideland, Towelhead, and a variety of Alan Clarke films --when it comes to moves that involve child abuse.
