Most annoying character

I thought SJP's character was the most irritating and unlikeable person in the entire film. From the board topics, it seems like most people had problems with the family, but I thought their quirks actually made them relatable and interesting. SJP's character on the other hand had no redeeming qualities (other than good taste in Christmas gifts.) The entire time she was onscreen I just wanted to gauge my eyes and eardrums out.

This movie would have been so much better if they'd tweaked that character a bit; or perhaps cast an actress who could have made the character likeable.

Amy, Julie and Everett all annoyed me. Amy for just being so universally bitchy, and Julie and Everett for their blatant disregard for Everett's relationship with Meredith. And don't give me that "love at first sight" hoopla. There's no such thing. Everett was a jerk...glad she didn't end up with him, and Julie deserved him since she was just as guilty as him.

Silence is the best reply to a fool.

AMY! its was amy...she acted like a small child. Although noteabley an adult living with her parents with no manners. The family acted like ther had no manners at all. Meridith was annoying because she fumbled and acted awkwardly but granted i think anyone would act like that if they were treated that way. Everything she did was rejected. If every family had to agree upon a persons spouse no-one would get married.

For me, the most annoying character in this movie was Thomas Bezucha, who wrote this hot mess. This film contains some of the most poorly-motivated characters I have ever seen outside of a porn flick.

Are you kidding? there was nobody more annoying in this movie than Amy Stone, what a rude, childish, horrid girl she was, made the SJP character look like a saint in comparison.

I think it was a tie between Amy and Thad, with the mom Sybil coming in second.

Amy for obvious reasons; what a bee-yotch! Thad was extremely condescending. I get that Meredith was very clueless when she first met him and just talked very loudly to him. I'm sure he was very tired of people not knowing how to react to his deafness. However, a simple, "I can read lips, thanks, no need to shout", etc., would have been fine. I stead he says, to the room in general, "Why is she yelling?". Then later, when Julie's character was upset, he does the same thing. "Why is she crying?". He never talks to a person, but talks about them as if they're not there. He was quite rude throughout the movie.

Sybil, well, her rudeness was quite obvious. Cancer card or not, Meredith was a guest in their house.

Disagree. The family were total jerks. It's normal for a person who is meeting and entire family of like 10 people to feel awkward and uptight for the first time, but these people instead of making her feel comfortable and cozy they just made fun of her.. especially that bitchy character of a sister, which she was probably just mad she wasn't as successful as her brother's girlfriend. I can imagine myself in SJP shoes and I would have just left that house on the first day, after telling them how pathetic they act first

I only saw this crap movie once, but I remember hating every single member of the Stone family and Meredith's sister. The only character I liked was Meredith.

The Stones are the most intolerant, condescending, rude, obnoxious, uninviting, cruel, disgusting characters I've ever seen in a Christmas-themed, family movie. Even the obnoxious relatives in the Krampus flick had redeeming qualities. The Stones had none, and Meredith's sister was a disloyal piece of crap. I hated the Stones. I didn't care when the mother died. I thought, "Good riddance." Ugh . . . Meredith is better than me b/c I would have left w/in hours of arriving.
