I am Legend wasn't a "remake" of either Omega Man or Last Man on Earth, it was another adaptation of the same book.

A remake is only when it's based on a motion picture produced earlier and an original screenplay not based on literature like say Texas Chainsaw Massacre or Halloween, now those are remakes.

Halloween/Halloween II (I loved the psychological, surreal element the 2nd one had)
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre
2001 Maniacs
Night of the Living Dead
Children of the Corn
Let Me In
The Omen (they don't change a whole lot from the original but there's no need to)
I Spit on Your Grave
Village of the Damned

What do you think? I know NOES was bad for most people but the visuals and the introduction to a darker version of Freddy was actually pretty awesome.
