Look, I'm not wholy opposed to remakes for the newer generation, especially if the originals aren't that good to begin with. But Memento is perfect as is and is only 15 years old. What needs to be updated? I'm with you on this.

Memento is still, in my view, Christopher Nolan's best film - by some distance. It's free of the inane pompous allegorising of The Dark Knight Rises, and the empty visual spectacle of Inception and Interstellar. Unlike, say, The Prestige, it has a compelling central protagonist, and an intriguing plot.

It was suggested by someone that a 4k would never materialize because Nolan was remaking this film.
It is a complete headscratcher why he would remake this film (if that is indeed his plan), but I still don't know why the original would be denied a 4k release.

This is absurd. Two women acquired this library of movies to remake them, instead of producing original content. They are killing creativity.
