Men n Women Showering Together? N they talk ard like nobody's biz? WTF?!

Ok, setting aside the absurdity of women training with men in the same infantry unit, now they had to take it even one step further of having the female recruits showering together with the guys !!

I remembered checking out my friends' expressions after that scene when I watched it at a friend's house. Everybody had their mouths agape and had absolute shock and disbelief written all over their faces. Man, that look was priceless.

This has got to be one of the most SICKENING, if not MOST IMPLAUSIBLE scenes in cinema history man.

You've got a platoon full of kids who are just fresh out of school; you can guess with raging hormones; who are discussing their aspirations and reasons for joining the infantry while being butt naked; and talking just like any other day, without a care in the world...

Are you fking kidding me ?! Man, is this show seriously treading on the thin line of being a porn movie or what?

How can any guy, in the right mind, be bathing around a bunch of nude chicks and not have ay 6 inch "physical reaction" to that ?! And still talking like nothing is going on at all ?

I was imagining a total different presentation given the same circumstances if you know what I mean..

How IMPLAUSIBLE & LUDRICROUS is this !!! Are those guys on hormonal suppressents or something ?!

Why didnt somebody say I joined the infantry just so I could see, touch and lick free t*tties?! I would have signed up if I knew the army division had such privileges !!

Yeah, why dont the TV ads in the show just use that as their slogan? "Service guarantees free T*Ts" !!! Lots of young fellas would literally throw themselves right in !!

Now you know why Rico was so determined and eager to join the infantry ... =D

And what sort of crazy infantry unit is this ?! To brazenly allow male and female recruits bathe together ?!

I am surprised they dont have to deal with issues like increased cases of rape and sexual harassment than getting trained to kill bugs !!

What the hell were the filmakers thinking when they shot this ?!

And why werent there a shower scene of Denise Richards ?! DAMN !!!

This is just one SICK, SICK movie that leaves a bitter taste in my mouth.

These were trained, disciplined soldiers. I've been to a music festival in Europe where the visitors were around 20 years old, they were there to have fun, and some were on drugs, and I never saw any inappropriate behavior in the shower facilities where (20-30?) men and women showered together.

Wow, just wow.

I don´t even know how to respond - Oh, wait yes I know:

You are crazy. Well, maybe not crazy but you are taking prudery to a whole new level. This is not even close to a porn movie scene.

They live in the, what is it 22nd or 23rd century or so, maybe about two hundred years ahead of us. Everyone is treated the same, so it is not that far fetched that they would shower together. I could also imagine Dizzy and the other members of the varsity high school team showering together. They are used to this and grew up like this, so I think it could be totally normal for them to talk about these things while showering.

Also, just because females and males shower together, does not mean that the men lose all control over themselves and rape the women, even if they would have a physical reaction to what they see. We can also see them very open about sexual relationships, and their lives are not only about getting married and finding Mr Right - When I saw that movie ( I think I was 13), it was quite a nice change to most other movies, where women only want to marry in the end. This is total equality: Shower together, women having the same requirements to join the military, mixed varsity teams, no difference in treating.

Don´t reduce men to animal instincts where they can´t control themselves, when they in fact can.

You have nude beaches (even associations, where people barbecue, bowl, play sports all while being naked) in Europe where nobody gets raped and men and women also talk to each other butt naked about what they will eat for dinner, where to go on the next vacation, or work life. And men there also don´t run around with a boner all the time. So why wouldn´t people in the 23rd century would shower together and talk about everyday life.

I would suggest you open your mind a bit an venture out in the world

The movie is directed by Paul Verhoeven a director of erotic thrillers and Sci-fi movies if you check his filmography you shouldn't be that shocked by his vision about how the future would be

BTW like someone already pointed out maybe his vision isn't so far from how things are going to be, for sure in the 23-century things are going to be very different and if we just analyzed the present time, well, this looks pretty plausible
