Favourite line?
I'd like to know what everyone's favourite line from the movie would be.
Mine is when Kevin was referring to Carman Swisher, "Those midgets seem to get a real kick out of her."
Later,Pooh

-Oh right, right right.....they were calling it pi$$ but they weren't moving any units. How much did you pay for this brown rock?
-What difference does it make?
-What difference does it make? Diamonds are supposed to be colorless...you go out and...you go out and by a colored diamond for a girl you're not even seeing man, you've been eatin' retard sandwiches again.
I had to put this since no one else had, yet. It's my favorite.
"I like to mash snow. It gives me a tremendous sense of self-satisfaction." -Marty.
The entire movie is like one big favourite line to me. But, to be specific:
"I just want something beautiful, Moe."
"We all want something beautiful, Willie."
"I like to mash snow. It gives me a tremendous feeling of self satisfaction."
"Christopher got old, he outgrew him."
"That's the saddest thing I've ever heard."
"I can't play Pooh to your Christopher Robin."
"A beautiful girl can make you dizzy, like you've been drinking Jack and Coke all morning. She can make you feel high full of the single greatest commodity known to man - promise. Promise of a better day. Promise of a greater hope. Promise of a new tomorrow. This particular aura can be found in the gait of a beautiful girl. In her smile, in her soul, the way she makes every rotten little thing about life seem like it's going to be okay."
"A beautiful girl is all-powerful and that's as good as love."
"You know there are fours words I need to hear before I go to sleep. Four little words. 'Good night sweet girl.' That's all it takes. I'm easy, I know, but a guy who can muster up those four words is a guy I want to stay with."
"You know how it is, the beginnings? When you first fall in love and you can't eat, you can't sleep and getting a call from her, it makes your day. It's like seeing a shooting star."
"Nothing changes in the Ridge but the seasons."
"Later, Pooh."
I loved the goodbye scene, because prior to watching the movie I read Ted Demme had told Hutton to kiss Portman without her knowledge, so her surprise and shyness is genuine. It was so skillfully well-played by Hutton and downplayed by Portman, it was super adorable.
I only do it with superheroes.
I don't judge you ok? If she can cut her own food, she's fair game.
shareI'm a huge Michael Rappaport fan. Very funny guy. There are so many great lines in this movie, but this is my favorite. In fact the whole dialogue this line is from is fantastic.
Paul: You let her behind the curtain, I know you did. You never let them behind the curtain Will. You never let them see the little old man behind the curtain working the levers of the great and powerful OZ. They are all sisters Willie... they aren't allowed back there... they mustn't see.
Another favorite line is when Darian's husband (can't remember his name) wants to buy Tommy a drink. The line: let me get this straight you CAN stick your d!@k in my wife, but I CAN'T buy you a drink...
That was great, but as it goes on Darian's husband says something like: I don't know what it is about small town girls, they see any guy in a tool belt & they get mo!st. To which Tommy replies: I got an extra one if you'd like, get you set up with some vice grips... PRICELESS!!

Lovely movie, funny dialogues, the writing is witty and unexpected...
"Take me with you when you go."
Stay cool. Stay cool forever.
I like to mash snow. It gives me a tremendous feeling of self satisfaction.
Marty: If I'm not mistaken, you've come back here to the house of loneliness and tears, to Daddy Downer and Brother Bummer, to come to some sort of decision about life, a life decision if you will.
Willie Conway: How old are you?
Marty: Thirteen. But I have an old soul.
Marty: What we've been doing lately is smoking massive amounts of drugs, binging on Entemmann's and listening to old Pink Floyd CD's
Andera: Yeah. I look for that in a man you know. The ones that make me miserable don't seem to last.
Andera: You know there are fours words I need to hear before I go to sleep. Four little words. "Good night sweet girl." That's all it takes. I'm easy, I know, but a guy who can muster up those four words is a guy I want to stay with.
Marty: Alas, poor Romeo, we can't do diddly.
Willie Conway: Bye Marty.
Marty: Later Pooh.
"look whos talking mr. jerry lee lewis."
"Oh, f uckin Moe"
