If you cried...

When did you cry and do you often cry at films?

I cried when she said that about his glasses and a little bit when she read her weeping willow poem. The only other films I can remember crying at were Schindler's List, when he says, "I could have got more" and Steel Magnolias when she says, "I've always been ready to go first."

That was the part i cried also. I weeped like a little girl. But i'm not ashamed about it.

Alright, here are the ones that got me...

This movie...the obvious, and the weeping willow poem.

The Sixth Sense-This is one I remember being surprised by how hard it hit me emotionally. The first time I saw it, I was with a friend and we were too busy being amazed by the twist ending lol. The next time and everytime since though, the scene at the end with Haley Joel Osment and Toni Collete in the car makes me cry. It’s so beautiful and touching.

Edward Scissorhands-From “Hold me.” “I can’t.” all the way to the end, this movie makes me so sad. Specifically when Kim kisses Ed goodbye up in the castle and she tells him she loves him And the end is so bittersweet.

The Pursuit of Happyness Of course the ending, but the hardships they faced throughout the film didn’t get me, however when Chris says to his son, “Don’t ever let anyone tell you that you can’t do something, not even me.” I’m getting chills thinking about it, because it hit so close to home for me.

Forrest Gump-“Is he…smart?” Forrest talking to Jenny’s grave , and the feather floating away at the end.

What’s Eating Gilbert Grape?-I watched this movie with a friend, and the entire time we were just amused by its quirks, but at the end when the kids look on as their house burns with their dead mother inside , I had to hide my face so my friend didn’t realize I was crying a bit lol

The Breakfast Club-“When you get older, your heart dies.” “Who cares?” “I care.” …Ahhhh every damn time! And also Brian explaining to the group why he was in detention.

My Sister’s Keeper-Didn’t wanna like this film, was reluctant to even watch it, but the end upset me tremendously, I was sobbing.

Camp-A lot of parts in this moving hit home for me. Specifically when the camp director tells the kids that “Teenage fag hags will always be fag hags, and you can’t make a straight boy gay because you need to be loved” I know what it’s like to be a fag hag, one who is in love with your gay male friend at that, and being bisexual, I’ve felt the desperate want for a straight person to be bi or gay, and for a gay person to be bi. Also, the number “Here’s Where I Stand” and Vlad and Michael’s conversation about being “freaks”.

Remember the Titans-After the first viewing, I now start to lose it everytime “Fire and Rain” starts playing.

City of Angels-Yes I teared up at the obvious sad part right towards the end, but what really got me, was the first time Nick Cage’s character spoke to Meg Ryan’s, it really was so angelic that it brought tears to my eyes.

Toy Story 3-Ohh Lord. Lol

I have also gotten emotional at The Notebook, A Walk to Remember, and Titanic.
Yeah, that’s a lot, what can I say, I’m an emotional teenage girl. Lol

I cried at the glasses and the weeping willow part, but I started to get teary-eyed when she was sitting at the top of the steps during Thomas J's funeral and she covers her face with her hand. So sad!

I'm a sucker for sad movies, though.

I cried when Vada talks to Thomas J's mom, and says, "Don't worry Mrs. Sennett, Thomas J will be just fine, My mom will take care of him." -- I apologize if I didn't get the quote exactly right.. but it still makes me cry like a baby!!

reply

OMG me too! It's when she talks to Thomas's mother, they give each other this big hug and Vada promises she'll still visit her and she tells her not to worry because her mother will take care of Thomas in heaven... oh wow, that's when the waterworks start. I must have seen this movie at least 6 times, but I still have tears running down my face every time that scene plays.

I also really love the scene between Shelly and Vada where she confesses to stealing the money from her to enroll in the writing class, and Shelly tells her to dedicate her first book to her.

This is a brilliant movie, I was disappointed when I saw how few stars it got on IMDB. It's sentimental, but deals with some heavy themes. I think it was the first movie I ever watched as a kid where it dealt with the death of a child. Heartbreaking.

Same. It was such a beautiful thought. I recently watched Forrest Gump, and I bawled at that. I always do.

Seeking a superhero for the end of the world.

That's the point I cried as well. The only other movie I recall ever crying over was Pearl Harbor.

When Vada's at the top of the stairs and she can hear the funeral starting. When she sits down and puts her head in her hands and cries - I get teary just thinking about that scene!!

I always cry in Marley & Me. It seems to be the music that gets to me the most when watching a movie.

Also, in I Am Sam, when Sam gets upset at his trial and asks to stop...so heart breaking.

I'm a baby though - I get emotional all the time. I teared up in the latest Toy Story movie lol.

I also cried at the funeral. I get emotional when watching any film with animals.
Examples of movies I got emotional watching:

- Turner and Hooch - the ending gets me every time
- Marley and Me - the ending is so sad and life like. My mum cried at just the mention of this film for weeks after watching it
- The Green Mile - the end and Mr Jingles
- Dances with Wolves - two shoes
- Edward Scissorhands - the end
- Scrooged - all throughout the movie
- My first Mister - the end
-Gladiator
- Forrest Gump
- The family stone
- Gorilla's in the mist
- Castaway - how I got emotional over a rugby ball I don't know
- The muppet christmas carol - another baffling one.

I cried about the glasses thing. It killed me to the core and the Weeping Willow poem as well. I tend to get emotional in alot of movies

1. Mystic River (at the end when Tim Robbins son is sitting on the float)
2. Perfect Storm (Mark Whalberg is about to drown and he talking to his girl)
3. Steel Magnolias ("I've always been first to go")
4. The Family Stone (When Diane dies)
5. The Notebook (You wrote me!)
6. My sisters Keeper (I've read the book, but the movie was ok)

But, the game's out there, and it's play or get played. That simple. -Omar Little "The Wire"
