I mean really, that was a little unrealistic. She looked like she was like 7 years old and had like hardly any breasts and was like not even 4'10 i bet and probably didn't weigh 90 pounds and somehow got her period? Please. I was 5'5 105 pounds and almost 14 years old before I got my first period, and she's not even 12 and looks like she's like 5 and gets hers.

everybodies different, didn't they teach you that in sex ed? Besides Anna Chlumsky was actually 11 years old when she did this movie.

i agree the she did look pretty young, but different girls start at different times with different bodies. i thought the period scene was cute because she thought she was hemhorraging.

I have to completely disagree with the original poster. It is not unrealistic at all in my opinion. I think she did look her age. It does not matter how tall you are or how much you weigh when you start puberty. I was 11 and 4'10. I am only 4'11 now and aged 23. You shouldn't really judge everything based on your own experiences.
