I like Steve too! He epitomized the spoiled rich kid that Brandon and Brenda have to get used to in Beverly Hills. I didn't mind his hair too much, but glad they toned it down as time went on. He looked like he had it all but underneath there was a sort of sad boy, what with always wanting his dad's approval. I'm glad they didn't introduce Rush right away. I have to admit though, I've always been attracted to the fit, muscled guys so that might have something to do with it. Dylan was about 85 pounds soaking wet and I'm sorry, as hard as Brandon tried I never took him for the tough type.
I loved how he was the only happy go lucky kid who was schyeahhhh ing all over the place. it was cute. he was fun. no one else was fun. Oh God. Fortune vomits on my eiderdown once more.
Yeah he sure didn't seem to take much seriously! I would have had a blast hanging out with him. Plus, that's probably as close to a Corvette as I'll ever get! :-)
--I never minded Kelly. I thought her character had a lot of emotional growth over the years, but yes stayed flawed as a human being.
--I liked Brenda more in her one college season than high school. I never understood the Saint Brenda brigade during the high school years. She could be quite mean in her own right. She seemed to get kinder and warmer in season 4.
--I never thought Brenda and Dylan had great chemistry. This is with NO character bias. I remember watching the show in season 1, first run, pre-internet, with no idea there was any Kelly interjection on the horizon, and thinking it looked like the two actors didn't even like each other all that much.
--I thought Nat was a terrible actor.
--I thought they missed a HUGE opportunity with Andrea's pregnancy. Marriage??? Really??? She had major potential to experience teen/college single motherhood and turn it into her new activist passion. But nope, marriage then an odd transition from journalism to med school. What the what???
