One of the most badass movies nobody knows about .....

this film is really up there among the greatest badass movies of alltime. i love the ensemble cast. nick nolte, william forsythe, michael ironside and clancy brown were exceptional. powers boothe was a bit of a let down frankly.

Oh my! What a darling photo!

So true. I missed it as a kid when it originally came out in '87. But I'm glad I had a chance to watch it.

Powers Boothe, a letdown? No, not at all. He was a perfectly charismatic foil to Nick Nolte's hard-edged ranger.

Also, Nick Nolte was one of the most badass on-screen characters in film. Man did Walter Hill know how to get the most out of his leads. I don't know who was more badass between Nick Nolte in Extreme Prejudice or Michael Pare in Streets of Fire.

Well-said. It's a great movie with so many great people in it. Michael Ironside was great also, as was Clancy Brown. He knows how to bring on the charm so well and then switch it off again.

I get the impression that Clancy Brown was cast because Walter Hill wanted someone like James Remar but couldn't cast him after he was fired on a film that Hill had produced: Aliens.

I'm hoping it's a great film. I just ordered the dvd based on the trailer alone.

Just no. Powers was awesome here. A forerunner to the slimeball he played on Deadwood.
The film is badass tho, for sure. The massive shootout at the end is worth the admission alone.
