Better than The Godfather?
Don't mind me, I'm just here to stir up debate.

While I absolutely love the Godfather films, which are undisputed masterpieces (well... two of them, anyway...), Scarface is definitely my favourite mob film (and my all-time favourite movie).
I write reviews in a Facebook group with a few friends/fellow movie lovers, and I reviewed those four movies back in January. My ratings, for those who might care:
The Godfather: 9.7/10
The Godfather, Part II: 9.5/10
The Godfather, Part III: 7.4/10
Scarface: 9.8/10
They're all 10s on IMDb anyway (except Part III).
The thing with Scarface is that it's just so damn entertaining. Everything about it feels like over-the-top perfection. The Godfather and its first sequel are fantastic films on their own, but no one, not even Pacino, were as fun to watch in those movies as Pacino was in Scarface. I just love everything about it. Hell, I even bought the VHS set as a collectible despite having the Special Edition DVD. I also have an amazing $200 Scarface painting showing Pacino in several different poses from the movie hung up above the stairs to the second floor of my house!

Scarface does have a higher re-watch factor, and yeah, it is more fun lol, but it still has grit too, and it also has perfectly timed funny moments which I liked, and as for it having better music, I say that because the classic rock and pop music fit the mood quite nicely

I think they are too different to compare in deciding which one is better. They're both great films. But, if I had to say which one is better, barring their differences, I would say The Godfather. I can't think of many films that compare to The Godfather, but that's just an opinion. This is still a great film, though.
Time wounds all heels.
1000+ rappers, NBA players, and Nino Brown in New Jack City, would agree...
Whose idea was it for the word "Lisp" to have an "S" in it?
for me, Wall Street, Casino, Goodfellas, and Scarface are all ahead of The Godfather.
