In the re-make cast Keira Knightley as Elise!

I always have this actress in mind, because I think she should be in more movies, but Rachel McAdams as Elise. And as for Richard, I'm not too sure...Leo D. could be good. I actually was reminded a lot of Titanic while watching this movie. Richard and Jack (from Titanic) are both such happy go lucky guys, that are chasing after a girl that is unreachable, upper crust and proper like. And other similarities I noticed, but that could be because they take place in the same time period.

I would have liked to see Jim Caviezel in the male lead then. He would have had the dark haunted look. In this movie, it was played well by Reeve, but I kept thinking of Superman.

Caviezel and Knightly have played somewhat similar roles. Caviezel in Frequency and Knightly in Jacket. See these 2 movies, I'm sure you would like them, since you explained Somewhere in Time beautifully in another thread.

A woman's lead i would have liked Anouk Grinberg. After seeing her last scenes in Antonin's Stories, she's become the woman of my dreams.

I know this is quite an old thread, but the only actress I would've ever considered for the role of Elise, other than the magnificent Jane Seymour, would be a younger Kate Winslet. Now, though, I do not want a remake of SiT. It's perfect as is!
