taxi driver has to be the strongest movie i have ever seen. I mean ive seen Rain Man, Bucket List and those kind of happy movies but taxi driver leaves an impact. Its not my favorite movie but it has to be De Niro's best. This is just my opinion. I really want to know your justification for which De Niro classic is the best and why
shareFor me, I'd rank them in this order:
1. Goodfellas: not just a well-done film, but it one that I can watch whenever it is on tv as it is a favorite of mine.
2. Taxi Driver: One of the best character studies I have ever seen and features tour de force directing by Marty.
3. Raging Bull: Another work of art that features one of the best performances in cinema history by the great Bobby D. as Jake LaMotta.
Goodfellas is a comedy, which DeNiro is barely in to give a strong main performance, so I'd have to Say Raging Bull.
But Deer Hunter had some very strong acting from him, especially when he was doing the "pretending-laugh" right before the shootout, in the Russian Roulette scene.

I wouldn't even put Goodfellas on the list. Sure it might the most entertaining of the 3. But Taxi Driver and Raging Bull had some interesting complex characters. Goodfellas felt like a bunch of cardboard characters going on a murder spree. Its like the dumb cousin of the Godfather. De Niro performance in the Raging Bull and Taxi Driver were excellent. Goodfellas, not so much. So for me.

I think that Taxi Driver is one of the best movies ever.
I give it a 10/10
Raging Bull has a great performance of Robert de Niro. Quite better than in Taxi Driver, but I didn't like the film as much as TD

And GoodFellas.. I bet I was too young when I saw it the first time. I give it a 7/10 but this could change if I watched it again
