Would you put this among Hitchcocks best?

I personally would. It is one of his most ambitious films. The characters are 3 dimensional, the script is cracking and the story is so Hitchcockian. My 3rd or 4th favorite of his.

I haven't seen every one of his films, but I've seen most of them now. So far Rope is my second favorite.

One of his best, and THE most suspenseful film he ever directed.
