lack of big franchise roles

Always wondered why he wasnt getting cast in big movies like MCU, star wars etc (aside a minor role in StarTrek Into Darkness) despite being a prominent bafta award winning actor (most if not all the 'rising star' bafta winners have been in huge franchises) and alot of his peers, Dr Who assistants, and actors hed cast in his 'Hood' films are getting big roles in big films/big stream series which is obviously what he'd want. perhaps word had got around he was bad news? or maybe just wasnt considered a good enough actor? or too old for certain roles (Finn)?

I have never deemed him a great actor. He is on the same level as Danny Dyer. Many deem Danny Dyer as “not great”

reply

Yes thats probably the main reason as opposed to anything else

No one outside of the UK heard of him until he got #MeToo'd. Strange how someone can be so prolific and popular in England and still not make it in the USA. Did he ever show interest in Hollywood?

reply

From BP trivia

Noel Clarke was turned down by Marvel for the role of Black Panther and writing the film

reply

He was in Star Trek into Darkness, but that was really his only "major" role in Hollywood.

Juno Temple is a rising star BAFTA winner who never got cast in franchise movies either.

She has a reputation too, but more about being a consensual pussy-hound than a Me Too type like Lily Cade.

It's his Weinstein approach that's killing him
