For me it has to do with the skeeviness of Jackson's own behaviour. What grown man takes other people's children on trips all over the world without the parents for one. And for two, I remember the day he died Quincy Jones was on MSNBC talking to the anchor on air at that time. I remember Jones saying that he never agreed with the skin lightening, the plastic surgeries, or the hanging out with children. Jones indicted him as sure as anything by stating that. In my opinion Jackson was effed up. As much by Joe as he was his own behaviour. Ironically while Jackson claimed to be Peter Pan/Mickey Mouse, he was a cutthroat when it came to his business practices. He stole the Beatles library out from under his "friend" Paul McCartney then acted all coy about having done it. This push and pull mentality made me stop being his fan. I was a huge one during the 80s. Had his albums, the ones with the Jackson 5, a tee shirt, all the singles, videos, and even a sequined glove I made on my own. So I'm coming from being a former fan. I don't have those things anymore because his own behaviour caused me not to be a fan anymore. I do believe some of what Wade and James said happened. But to me Jackson made his own bed and to me, he's now lying in it. I stopped being his fan in the 90s and by the 00s, I was solidly believing he was some sort of predator. Too much smoke not to be fire.
