TV shows you loved but eventually gave up on.

I was really into The Walking Dead, I read the comics, have a Rick Grimes bobble head and Daryl crossbow, several T shirts… But by season 6 many of the best characters were dead and the new characters were silly. I gave up watching it.

Dexter was great through season 4.
A show about a serial killer who murders serial killers and perverts was a pretty cool idea. Eventually the writing got wonky and I bailed.

Did you ever quit a favorite show and why?

True Blood. First 2 seasons were great
Dexter. Probably 1 of the best 1st seasons I've ever seen.
Vampire Diaries. First 2 seasons were great
Criminal Minds First 4 seasons excellent
Veronica Mars. In my top 10 of 1st seasons

I didn't give up on True Blood, but holy shit everything after season 3 was an absolute chore. You're not missing much.

Yeah, Criminal Minds hayday was Mandy Patinkin with Thomas Gibson.
I quit after SE 07 or 08.

I SKIPPED ALL THESE SHOWS...I DID WATCH A CHUNK OF DEXTER WITH THE "WIFE" BUT NEVER FINISHED.

I DIDN'T GIVE UP ON SLIDERS...I LOST TRACK OF IT...I LOVED THE SHOW...BUT IN IT'S ORIGINAL AIRING I STOPPED WATCHING FOR SOME REASON...IT WASN'T QUALITY...AND I HAVE NEVER GONE BACK AND REWATCHED IT...YET.

Honestly, almost all of them. Once a series goes past 4 of 5 seasons I'm usually out. I did watch the entire series of The Good Place, but that was only 50 episodes over 4 seasons. I'm really struggling to think of a show that I've seen the entire series that wasn't cancelled after the first or second season.

Well....Currently 9-1-1, but I won't really care if I don't watch the next season. It's just something I put on.

I actually feel the same way, and I easily dropped shows in the past for that reason. The last 20 years, though, there've been so few shows I've watched, I've stuck with them till the end. Including Psych, which did go downhill after season 4.

I WILL NEVER UNDERSTAND WHY EVERYONE DOESN'T LOVE THE OFFICE AND REWATCH THE ENTIRE SERIES AT LEAST ONCE A YEAR.

I gave up on Walking Dead as well. I think I stopped during after season 5 which I think was the first season with Negan.

The Walking Dead the show started feeling hopeless and depressing. They would find some place to be somewhat safe and it would go to shit then move on, rinse and repeat. I can’t recall the season but it was when the Asian guy got his head caved in. I had enough at that point.

Outlander I persevered with the idea of a woman from the 1940’s who acted like a woman from the 2000’s is transported back to 1700’s Scotland. That her attitude and big mouth is somewhat tolerated. But it started becoming more violent and rape porn.
