Burger King or McDonald's? Which is better in your opinion?
McD's has best fries. I think BK has best burgers.

shareThis is when I realize that I haven't been to our local Burger King since before the pandemic.
It is probably because they're on the other side of town from where I live.
McDonalds and Sibylla are closer to me and much more convenient for me for that reason.
I've always preferred Burger King.
shareI'm not a fan of junk food, but if I had to choose, then BK.
sharethe 1/4 pounder with cheese is the food of the gods.
shareI'm old enough to remember when 1/4 pounder no cheese was listed separately on the menu, and had its own box

I can remember when restaurants had simple menu boards like the one in that link. I wish they would go back to this. Keep it simple and concentrate on the quality of the food that made them famous. Too many of them chase after various "food fads" which leads to the addition of too many unappetizing items.
shareI so agree. Kudos to In-N-Out Burger for maintaining a simple menu: https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/c/c5/In-N-Out_Burger_drive-thru_menu_%285612%29.jpg
shareThat's a perfect example. And from what I've read, In-N-Out Burger does good business, further proof that there is no reason to add a bunch of extraneous unappetizing selections to the menu. If In-N-Out ever moved into my area I would patronize them.
Five Guys is another place that operates well with a simple menu:

i prefer mcd most of the time. but it ruins my guts, so i reduced it to twice a year
shareBoth are garbage. At one time Burger King was a welcome alternative to the slop served at MuckDonald's, but sadly this is no longer the case. Sometime around the late 1990s the quality of their food began to decline and the pace has quickened in recent years. The final straw for me was when they took the Double Whopper off the menu board and replaced it with that horrible Texas Whopper.
I haven't done business with either place in years, although I am tempted to try the BK Impossible Whopper alongside an original Whopper to compare the taste. I still may do this if the BKs in my area ever reopen.
There are some regional chains that have good burgers. The only national ones that are any good are Dairy Queen and Wendy's. I believe the only reason why Wendy's has maintained their quality is because Melinda "Wendy" Thomas, daughter of founder Dave Thomas and namesake of the restaurant, is still involved somewhere in the organization. Just watch... once she's gone, the place will take a nosedive. I would lay money on it.
Wendy's
