Hey, everybody! Can you recommend some good free classic movies that are on youtube?

I'm home with a broken leg, and with nothing better to do but catch up on my online continuing education, and watch free movies on youtube!

I just saw "Garden of Evil" on the recommendation of someone here, anyone got some good movies to recommend, particularly free musicals or comedies from the Studio Era?

Thanks!

There used to be a bevy of film noir free on youtube but that doesn't seem to be the case now. The only free movies I can verify at the moment are the James Bond collection. Not really what you asked for but that's all I got. I will monitor this thread for the suggestions though. I like old movies.

If you get desperate enough to watch any of the aforementioned 007 movies, let me recommend Golden Eye, You Only Live Twice, The Spy Who Loved Me, and Casino Royal.

You need Billhicksfan in here.

Free Pluto TV has a James Bond channel, where they play nothing but Bond movies 24/7 for free. With ads, though.

Oh well, there are still some free movies on youtube, I've been watching cowboy movies, but yeah. Most of the best-known movies are now for rental only.

Tuning into Pluto TV is part of my daily routine. I've got it on right now, the Cult Classics channel. When I initially click on the app, The Classic Movies channel comes up.

Speaking of best known movies and YouTube, I was amazed to be able to watch The Little Things (2021), just a week ago on there. Granted, it appeared to be maybe a pirated version with foreign subtitles, but the audio was in English and I got the entire movie. I've never experienced anything like that with YouTube movies before.

Just type your genre and you should get some good stuff

I just test-tried 'Italian Horror Movies' and quite a few popped right up from the 70s and 80s

It should work for whatever genre you like as well but be mindful of runtimes and language

Not a movie but a miniseries I highly recommend -- Fall of Eagles, featuring Patrick Stewart as Lenin!

Not a classic, a sci-fi B movie from 1959. Lee Meriwether at age 24 is nice to look at. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4bQIUd03Mxo
