Is there huge difference in USA if you are born white, black or brown?
Well?
shareIf you are a straight white male you get remind by liberals, feminists, popular culture, and the news media just how much they hate you on a daily basis and everything that's wrong in the world is your fault.
shareStrange; I'm a straight, white male and nobody tells me that they hate me except right wing conservatives. Maybe it's you...
shareIf you are a straight, white male you better make sure to vote Democrat and prove your love of all people of color or you will be attacked.
shareThat’s strange. I’m a straight, white male and no one on either side of the political spectrum has ever said any of those things to me.
shareWhy would conservatives hate a straight white male?
shareConservatives are taught to hate Democrats and liberals.
shareBY WHO?...FOXNEWS?🤔
shareThe majority of the hate and division comes from the Democrats. Four years of whining because Trump won and now they want revenge on anyone who worked with him or voted for him. Hate comes naturally to the delusional, self-righteous left, Michael Shannon, Antifa and BLM are prime examples.
"Michael Shannon"
who?
One of the reasons why I'm not liberal or conservative is because I see hate on both sides.
shareI'll hate you, if that makes you feel any better. Now go suck an egg!
shareOf course. From birth to death. Are you watching the trial about George Floyd's killing?
shareNope. I have no interest.
shareNeither have I, fucking banks.
It shows how little a black life is worth in the U.S..
I'd be willing to bet various groups are treated differently where you are, too. Hierarchies are a part of human nature, therefore all societies have them.
Yep. Even though we were all taught in elementary school that we are all "equal". That's all BS.
shareOf course, all humans are equal.
People use nonsensical things
like religion, language, region, ethnicity, gender, race, class, etc. to discriminate.
A school teacher did a historic experiment in which she discriminated against her students based on eye color. Lesson begins around 6 minutes in.

Unbelievable
I've been following it from its inception and I find it riveting. There has been a cross section of ethnic backgrounds represented in the eyewitness testimonies and one thing is certain...the collective sense of shock, disbelief, frustration and moral outrage was consistent from that group of people. Thus far, I'm inclined to believe his family member's prediction that it's going to be a slam-dunk for the prosecution.
I disagree. It's rare for police to be found guilty of a killing. But, I hope there is an exception this time.
sharein a probabilistic sense, yes.
otoh, you may be born rich, extremely good looking and/or talented, or intelligent & socially adept, etc., and those possible impediments become much less severe.
we don't like to think that the circumstances of our birth & upbringing, in terms of race or class, matter much. but they do, looking at the general picture.
how that should effect social policy is another matter. i'm more inclined to class & income based approaches to addressing social disparities, for a lot of obvious reasons.
Of course.
shareYes:)
shareLet's be real, no one is really equal. We all have our biases.
shareThis is true. We tend to be bias towards our own race subconsciously.
shareUsually. But, humans are complex.
There are plenty of people who hate their own race or group especially if it's targeted for hatred or bias from a majority culture.
or when people of your own race try to destroy you so the majority culture doesn't appreciate you. Has happened plenty of times to people I know. People will do anything to prevent others from having good quality white friends
shareYes. As an example, a black person is 3.64 times more likely to be arrested for marijuana possession than a white person, even though black and white people use marijuana at similar rates.
shareBecause police resources go where people assault, rob, kill, and because those crimes are more likely in black neighbourhoods, as a consequence of stop and frisk laws, or just responding to other call outs, they will find marijuana on black folk.
So you could say that being black does put you under a bigger microscope due to preventative and reactive law enforcement.
I SMOKE CONSTANTLY...I HAVE NEVER BEEN ARRESTED FOR POSSESSION...I HAVE A FRIEND WHO ALSO SMOKES A LOT...HE IS BLACK...HE HAS BEEN ARRESTED THREE TIMES FOR POSSESSION...THE DIFFERENCE IS I TAKE MY SHIT HOME AND SMOKE IT IN MY CINEMATIC LIBRARY ...HE ROLLS HIS WEED INTO JOINTS OR BLUNTS AND GOES OUT AND ABOUT CHILLING WITH PEOPLE AND MOVING ABOUT TOWN WITH HIS SHIT.
shareAt home watching movies is the best spot. 👍
shareYou're in Cali, right? How much is he carrying with him? Its perfectly legal to carry up to an ounce in public.
Frankly, I don't think anyone should be arrested for personal possession of any drug. Its a complete waste of police resources.
HE DOESNT TRUST ANYONE...SO HE CARRIES WHAT HE HAS IN TOTAL ON HIS PERSON AT ALL TIMES.
