fat girls posing in midriffs and short shorts on Tinder

shareI think it is tacky. A person should dress for their body type, whatever it is.
shareGood luck to them.
I wouldn’t like them to tell me how to dress so I would extend them the same courtesy.
i'll second that.
if you don't fancy girls like that, the op is free to move on to the next profile.
lots of guys fancy heavier girls. one of the redeeming qualities of the internet age is that people who are heavy and people who like that can connect - it's never been so easy for supply and demand to intersect.
Very well said.

How fat are we talking about? If they're 100 pounds overweight I'll stay clear. If they're 25 pounds overweight, please give links; I dig zaftig chicks.
shareThat’s what I’m talking about! 👍
shareThe sad thing is, it's necessary to ask. Political correctness has raped the English language. Every term that once referred to someone slightly heavier than average has been turned into a euphemism for someone morbidly obese.
About twenty-five years ago, I saw perhaps the most bizarre spectacle of my life, on Washington DC's Metro. Two women who must have weighed 500 pounds each got onto the subway car. They stood to the side, near the door, talking, where everyone could see them. The car actually groaned a little and tilted under their weight. Both were dressed in skin-tight outfits that left absolutely nothing to the imagination. From the way they preened and postured as they talked, it was clear that both thought they were in the supermodel class and that every man on the car was lusting after them. Talk about delusional!
here we are again , pining for a bygone age when you could be as rude as you wanted ...

What are you lamenting exactly here ? which terms did you want o use that would have clarified this?
> here we are again , pining for a bygone age when you could be as rude as you wanted ...
It's not a bygone age. Those who extol "tolerance," "diversity," et cetera generally are intolerant toward those with whom they disagree, long for a world where there is absolutely no diversity of opinion, and are as rude as they like in saying so. Beyond that even. Sometimes they ruin people's lives out of mere dislike.
I'm quite serious about the language. How do you describe a woman who is, say, 5'7" and 150? Pleasingly plump? A few extra pounds? Full figured? Any of those are, strictly speaking, accurate, but they're routinely used to refer to people twice that weight -- and there's nothing to be glorified or celebrated about being 5'7" and 300, just as there's nothing to be praised about smoking two packs of cigarettes per day, both are medically dangerous.
sorry , im not following , yes theres a differnce betwenn 150lb plump and 300lb obese,
But whats changed? what did so called "PC" do?
what would the language difference be between then and now?
Your post reminded me of this article I saw on Yahoo:

Yahoo needs to get better editors to review their material. The word is corpulence.
