Do you guys still watch movies for an actor/ actress you love ?

Since almost the end of the 2000s people stoped watching films for actors it’s actually 2009 when the movie stars era ended.

But some of us still go to the movies to watch certain actors we love and find hot. Well at least I do once in a while for Chris Hemsworth and RDJ.

Yes I did watch MIB for Hemsworth and DoLitttle for RDJ and liked both.

I’m not gonna say they are masterpieces or underrrated but I did have a good time watching both though dolittle it is mostly a kids movie but I did like it as an adult.

Now maybe I would have skipped that if it wasn’t for RDJ I have to admit but don’t regret it watching it at all

But What about you guys do you still watch movies for some specific actors or not anymore. ?

I never did

Yes

reply

Sure. I'll watching anything with Matt McCon, Matt Damon, Matt Dillon. All the Matts are good.

reply

I like them all but Dillon is something else, I tend to see everything he is in. Did you see 'The house that Jack built'? He was fantastic in that.

reply

Excellent, creepy movie👍
Dillon in top form

Back in the rental days, you always knew you were gonna get your 4 bucks worth when you saw his name on the box.

reply

I will add Matt Berry.

Last week I was watching a series because of Kong Hyo Jin (I love that actress). Hollywood ones? not anymore.

reply

DiCaprio, Keanu Reeves, Willem Dafoe, Benicio del Toro. I try to see everything those guys make.

reply

That's a damn fine list

reply

Not as much. But I'm still interested in movies starring Christian Bale, Michael Fassbender or Tom Cruise.

reply

Not really. Long ago I might be swayed to a film by Hanks, McKellen, Irons, or Blanchette. Nowadays, I am more likely to NOT see a movie based on who is in it. For instance, I try to avoid movies starring Forrest Whitaker, Matt Damon, Kristen Stewart, Joel Edgerton to name a few.

I now chart by director more than anything.

reply

Almost anything with Denzel Washington, Al Pacino, Joe Pesci and Nicolas Cage.

reply

You avoid or you are drawn to?

reply

Are you asking me that question? If so, the answer is I'm drawn to them.

reply

You replied to me instead of OP so I was not sure which sentiment of mine you were referencing.
Nest view?
