Have you ever mentioned someone well known and the person you're talking to hasn't got a clue who they are?

I once mentioned Genghis Khan and my brother didn't know who he was. We were teenagers at the time, but still.

9 times out of 10, it's me not knowing someone who is "online famous"

What's even worse is I once met someone who didn't know who Allaby was! Can you believe it? I thought everyone knew the famous Allaby?

Its disturbing how often that happens. Makes me not want to talk to anyone, ever.

I work with a lot of younger people. One guy asked me what that OJ Simpson thing was all about.

I know a "geek/nerd" at work who didn't know who Jonas Sulk is. Crazy bullshit from people, thinking Pokemon makes you geek or nerd.

I can relate, I was telling a story about Aboogiecremepoolagiaza Winker and people looked at me like I was insane.

a lot of that can be attributed to general cluelessness / stupidity.
