Remakes that broke your heart.

Clash of the Titans 2010 The original is one of my top 10 favorites of all time, so when I saw this crappy remake I just got mad.
Valley Girl 2020..I'm actually in the middle of this one, but its not good. The original was so unique. This new one feels like a High School Musical Rip Off.

THAT REMAKE OF PAPILLON WITH THE DUDE FROM SONS OF ANARCHY AND THE DUDE FROM MR ROBOT...

Ben-Hur (2016) sucked so bad, the 1959 version is one of my favorites.

reply

don't mess with perfection.

reply

You know what all these god awful remakes have in common...CGI

reply

I actually liked it.

reply

So you're the one!

reply

Ben-Hur never had any remake.

And the Star Wars trilogy didn't have any sequel. They DON'T exist, the same than the Ben-Hur remake, or the Total Recall remake. It's just a urban myth.

reply

The Matrix doesn't have any sequels.

the day the earth stood still 2008

reply

ADMIT IT...KEANU BLEW YOU AWAY.

reply

I lasted about 30 minutes

reply

Oh my the trailer for this looks bad. Sorry Kowalski but Keanu is not a good actor.

reply

OH ITS BAD...REAL BAD...KEANU IS AND CAN BE A DAMN FINE ACTOR...GIVEN THE CORRECT SCRIPT AND DIRECTION....HOWNOS WAS SMART ENOUGH TO CHOOSE PERHAPS THE STUPIDEST PILE OF GARBAGE TO EVER BE INSPIRED BY A PREVIOUS FILM.

reply

I think I'm going to have to call a DNF on this Valley Girl remake. Its like fingernails on a chalkboard.

reply

The embarrassingly bad remake of the 1963 classic, The Haunting.

Somehow, despite having a great cast and great source material to draw from, the remake was absolutely horrible.

reply

EVERY SO MANY YEARS I REWATCH THAT TURD...IT CANT POSSIBLY BE THAT BAD..NOT WITH THAT CAST AND DIRECTOR....IT IS...IT IS PURE SHIT.

reply

That one was awful. Totally betrayed what made the original great.

reply

One heck of a cast, a real swing and a miss!
It's been 10 years since I've seen it but I recall the CGI was terrible

reply

Nightmare on Elm Street. So generic and bland. Nothing redeeming. Offensively bad.

reply

I kind of liked this remake..

reply

I don’t understand how but I’m glad you enjoyed it.

reply

Out of the all the remakes of the big 3 (ANOES, F13, Halloween) I liked that one the best. I think Rooney Mara and Kyle Gallner did a pretty decent job. The main problem is that replacing Robert Englund is a no win situation. It just can't be done, as no one can replicate that fantastic grin and cackle of his. And also the way he moves and uses the glove.

reply

JACKIE EARLE WAS COOL AS FREDDY,KIND OF...THE FILM ITSELF IS ALMOST LIKE A PRACTICAL JOKE ON THE AUDIENCE THOUGH.

reply

I wanted to like him but I thought he was awful too.

reply

Planet of the Apes (2001)
Bad News Bears (2005)
Halloween (2007)

reply

I LIKE ZOMBIE'S BLOODY BRUTAL TAKE ON MICHAEL...THE OTHER TWO ARE PRETTY BAD THOUGH,UNLESS YOU LIKE WATCHING MARKIE MARK TONGUE KISS GORILLA LADIES.

reply

Yup
Throw in the Straw Dogs and Wicker Man remakes also

reply

The bad CGI deer hunt in the Straw Dogs remake was simply terrible

And while it's inferior to the original in every way The Wicker Man remake was comedy gold, just SO hilarious... and that manic Nic Cage performance!
Funnier than most 'comedies'😁
