The dumpster hobo scene gave me a heart attack and left me legit shaking lol.
shareMe too. It looks funny in hindsight, but I was so not expecting a jumpscare from this movie. Nightmarish scene! For days I was afraid to approach corners in the streets in broad daylight.
The whole movie is unsettling of course, but that's just good old Lynch for you.
Sadly they don't have much effect on me anymore. But when I saw Freddy Kruger as a 10 year old I was petrified.
I'd had demonic dreams as a child so it rang home. I know what it's like to feel like you're being stalked by evil. I remember as a six year old I dreamt that I went 100 levels below the ground to escape the evil, and it was all machinery down there, and still the evil that I couldn't see was following me. So weird to have had these dreams. I'd never been shown scary movies or anything.
