What’s a scene from a comedy that had you laughing the longest continuously?

I’m 33, but I won’t forget the movie scene that me laughing hysterically for at least 10 minutes. It was as soon as a year ago which blows my mind. Nothing else has made me laugh that hard and long in my 30’s.

Anyway, it was in the movie Birdcage with Robin Williams when Albert unexpectedly arrives to the dinner party dressed as an old woman to play “the mom”. Hopefully enough people reading this know what I am talking about. https://100001.onl/ https://1921681254.mx/ https://acc.onl/hotmail

Fawlty Towers - Gourmet Night ( season 1 episode 5 )

Pretty much the entire thing.

I'm ashamed to admit that it has to be from Scary Movie 3. Either the ceiling fan scene, or the basement baseball bat scene. Stupid slapstick jokes, but they get me everytime. The executions are perfect!

reply

Ceiling fan for sure, Watched it the other day. Wouldn't have thought of it but when you said it, for sure.

The "I'm a zit! Get it?" scene from Animal House.

I think it was a scene from Bandits where Bruce Willis was encouraging Billy Bob Thorton's hypochondria that he had a brain tumor.

Konosuba, almost every scene. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w-sZAPBIcQM

A Monty Python skit entitled the Poems of Ewan Mcteagle had me in stitches, tears and stomach cramps from laughter

It’s hard to pick one for sure, but here are a few that would be in the running for me:

1. Why I suck as a salesman scene - Tommy Boy
2. Chasing the invisible penguin scene - Billy Madison
3. The Monopoly guy scene - Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls

I guess compared to all you fancy folk posting above, my taste in humor is as primitive as a caveman’s (If they existed...Which they didn’t!)

reply

The Monopoly guy scene is hilarious even for the hundredth viewing!

LAAAA-DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

Also the moment in Ace Ventura: Pet Detective (1994), when Ace yanks the violinist's bow!

The ship leaving the docking bay in Galaxy Quest.

Very funny movie.

reply

Yup. Probably my favourite comedy.

reply

Yes, and the fact that everyone was shifting there bodies
as if that could correct the movement of the ship.

reply

The expressions on their faces crack me up.

I really don't know another movie that made me laugh so much.
