Do you have a dog?
What breed? I'm thinking about getting a border-collie. They seem to be great dogs. How are they as guard dogs?

shareNo
shareI do not, too much work atm...
I imagine a Border Collie would be a very loyal guardian and devoted family member, but probably very energetic and exhausting
Shogun, I had a Border Collie as my childhood dog and her picture still hangs on my wall now.
The entire perimeter of, Iโm guessing a half acre yard was stomped down completely from her pacing. They are SO intense. She would never tired out. I have a German Shepard now and there is no comparing the two as far as intensity. My advice to anyone wanting a Border Collie is to have a large yard and a lot of time to dedicate to them.
Yeah, they look like they'd wear me out!
It comes with their job description
They are super smart.
shareWE HAD A BORDER COLLIE...GREAT DOG..THEY ARE A WORKING DOG THOUGH,SO IF YOU SELECT A BORDER COLLIE,YOU NEED TO BE PREPARED FOR LOTS OF WALKS,AND FETCH ,ETC...WELL WORTH THE WORK THOUGH.
shareA corgipoo.
shareI had a white German Sheppard. She was with me for 14 years.
shareWhite German Shepherds are gorgeous. The ones Iโve worked with have all been so sweet but also neurotic. Was your girl sweet and a little crazy too?
shareYeah. She was a lot of work, but so loving. She had been abused as a puppy before I got her too, so there was massive distrust to start. I mean who abuses a puppy?
shareUnfortunately a lot of people do. Or they just leave their dogs in crates or outside all of the time and wonder how they ended up with such a โbad dogโ. It infuriates me.
shareBeautiful except for RBS (rusty butt syndrome). ;)
