The Road (09)

I read the novel and then read it again right away...I even got my wife to read it and she dislikes stories of hopelessness

The film was a bit 'jazzed' up for movie purposes but was also excellent

This story caused me to stockpile Ammo and canned food, no lie

I consider The Road to be an eye opener and a fantastic tale of a homeless father and son wandering the landscape

The Grapes Of Wrath (40)

The prose in this book rivals Hemingway in my opinion

Have you ever read the novel? The original ending of the book is something they would never put in a film of that era.

This might be a cheat but Robert seemed homeless and groundless (despite having motel money) in Five Easy Pieces

Rob was an uncomfortable man that could have lived in grace and comfort but he was a loon and chose the road

He was homeless AND heartless, an angry fellow
