The hype of a movie and people still discuss about it

The force awakens
The last jedi
Avengers : infinity war

I think it was watching The Green Mile in theatres. I was a huge Stephen King fan and didn't know anything about the film or books, but I knew it was gonna be good. And it was damn good.

Also, I don't think this movie has any hype or people still discuss it, but I remember being very enthralled by The Little Princess. It really changed the way I viewed not only film, but story in general.

Saw "Psycho" at age 8

"Jaws" and "The Exorcist" and most movies of the 60's-90's in the theatre.

I think one of the biggest hyped movie for me was Independence Day. I was working at a movie theatre when it came out and we had it on 4 of our 6 screens. I think every showing of it was sold out that day too.

Hi Miss:)
That was certainly a big one!

I tought the scenes with Leo getting chased about by a gun toting Billy Zane were WAY out of place but overall a good time at the movies
At least 8 of us all went together

I seen it about 7 times at cinema.

I respect that level of devotion Miss!

Empire Strikes Back. Nobody knew Star Wars was gonna be what it was. The wait for Empire, especially for a 7 year old, was unbearable.

I'm an old fogy, but I remember as a kid, it was a big deal to see a movie in "Cinerama." In my case, it was watching "How the West Was Won" at the local Cinerama theater.

The biggest one I can remember for myself was Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in 1990, when I was 6 or 7 years old.

There was line at the mall movie theater out the door and into the parking lot to see the movie, and it was sold out before I was able to get a ticket.

I was so bummed. I'll never forget it. I never saw it in the theater... I had to wait until it came out on home video months later, haha.

Also, people seem to forget, whether they like the film or not...Titanic was a phenomenon at the movies the likes of which we will never see again. That movie was sold out for weeks and weeks in theaters.

The Dark Knight was the most recent one FOR ME that I just had to see! It was an event!
