Does it bother you when weed is made legal?

I live in Kansas close to Kansas City and Missouri now has fully legal weed for medical and recreational use. It kind of bothers me seeing states go this way as it's as if the Goverment wants its citizens to be as dumb and sedidated as possible. Does anyone else feel this way?

reply

NO...I LOVE WEED...IT'S WAY SAFER THAN ALREADY LEGAL ALCOHOL...PLUS IS HAS TONS OF MEDICINAL USES.

reply

I'm smoking some right now... fuck those guys.

reply

Legalizing it only encourages its use which doesn’t do anyone any favors.

reply

Prohibition doesn't work so maybe legal is this lesser of two evils.

reply

Meanwhile... alcohol is killing and ruining lives daily!

reply

About 150,000 Americans die from alcohol abuse every year. Why aren't the anti marijuana people outraged over that? Nobody has ever died from a THC overdose.

reply

yeah but weed is bad for Uncle Sam tax extortion economy. why work hard 50 weeks out of the year to buy a new PS5 and plasma screen TV when you can just smoke a joint and fire up your PS2 Grandtheft auto San Andreas and have a better experience than anything modern gaming has to offer. Fuck a real job when u have weed, u can just deliver pizza for cash tips a couple hours a day and enjoy life away from the rat race. Government doesnt like happy content free minded relaxed citizens who enjoy life. they want us on liquor, anti-depressents, and cocaine. these are drug distribution networks they control and profit on. any highschool kid can grow weed, there is no control over the poor citizen by promoting this drug

reply

You must think every pothead is a pizza delivery ps2 playing loser. I got news for you. I own a ps5 and an xbox series x , a house, and a brand new car. I smoke weed everyday. Keep on lumping people in one category. That's fair.

Signed, million man.

reply

I own a house, a vehicle, have a good job, am raising two exceptionally intelligent children, am well respected in my field, and smoke weed every day. Hi! 👋

reply

Hey. Let's be friends!

reply

YOU ROCK!

reply

well I'm a millionaire too that rather play PS2 stoned then waste money on PS5 when they don't even have even have any good games for it. i will wait for GTA 6 to get a PS5 and spend my money on traveling and real life adventures instead of the shiniest newest car and or playstation

reply

Yawn. I see better insults on gamefaqs

reply

Banning murder doesn’t work either. Guess we should legalize that too?

reply

Not a legitimate comparison. You can do better.

Signed, million man.

reply

Reefer madness was a lie, a lie which has been exposed to all but simpletons like you. Humans have used marijuana for thousands of years, to the extent that we have evolved a secondary nervous system that mirrors our primary nervous system, whose purpose is to metabolize cannabinoids, known as the endocannabinoid system. It came pre-installed in you.

reply

Reefer madness was definitely a lie, but cannabis induced psychosis is quite real. And sure, people have used it for years, but they didn't have an abundance of access to it or the means to grow it all year round with no impediment from nature and the elements. They also used it predominantly in the way we do now, for it's medicinal properties.

reply

That’s quite naïve, but I’m more than happy to allow you to live in your naïve little world.

reply

Thanks for your permission, and your lack of an actual response, don't worry about further conversation from me.

reply

Sort of. Aside from the fact that people take this legalization as a sign that marijuana has no major negative side effects, which is simply not true - it's been reclassified a bunch of times to prevent cannabis psychosis - but there are other implications. Like dealers having to make up the loss of profits through untested and dangerous new drugs or through other crimes, or more frequent use and overuse and thus a greater dependence on the stuff due to not achieving the same high.

One thing I notice is that the beginning of legalization of weed coincides with the beginning of the Democrat Party's EXTREME slide into insanity. I mean, they were always nuts, but now that weed can be legally smoked, it's obvious the majority of them have totally fried their brains based on the crap their party is doing.

reply

No. I think it's probably less harmful than alcohol.
