STFU You are missing the entire point - you are equating rape and non-consensual abuse and victimization with consensual behavior. Are you so shallow that you do not know the difference between the two? So if you are unable to differentiate between the two and prefer to just insult people then certainly your posts are worthless to even read and unworthy of other peoples' valuable time. You should quit already. WTF is wrong with you??? It is shamefully obvious that many here are unable to tell the difference between rape, lack of consent, and consensual behavior. There is a difference. It is also troubling to see so much of this, which seems to be based on people trying to protect those who they are fond of or fans of. This man is a scumbag that deserves to be in prison. Look at his background and the things he is associated with. This crap is not about those with the power and fame to enjoy all the depravity of the consensual, but of rape, abuse, and even allegedly murder. Thank you for the links. I have an entirely different opinion than you. For one thing, anecdotally, I can tell a difference in my own habits and how technology has changed them. For example, about a decade ago I started reading the majority of books on an E-reader, and I can tell a difference in the way my brain now functions. I often do not find myself reading for as long as I did with physical books. My brain and habits have changed and have been influenced by technology. Researchers are also finding that electronic devices are impacting us in different ways, one of them being we can't stay on a page for long without moving on. The vast capabilities of these devices manipulate us into seeking more and more stimuli to keep us engaged. Secondly, Psychology Today just had a very good article on learning, teaching, and electronic devices and what was found is not good at all. And before you type some insult like, "Psychology Today! That's pop science." I will stop you and say those cited in the article were scientists and researchers and not opinion writers and their findings based in research and science. Not only these, but there are many, many reports of how technology is impacting the mind and how we experience things. So, I guess we will both have to agree to disagree. I guess I should have used different wording than "attention span" and instead used something like the change in things that engage our interest. Yes, I agree with you and I don't think the issue will be with premiere storytellers, but as time goes by, and as with most things, imitation and fads seem to be guiding forces in storytelling in hopes of cashing in instead of producing compelling stories and acting. One odd thing is how film noirs often clock in at just over an hour and rarely more than two. And it makes me wonder if epics like Horizon are doomed from the start (another aspect of the impact of technology changes and stream includes how long films at home come with pause, rewind, watch again, or captioning, while none of this remains in theaters). Just sort of rambling... Hm, makes me curious how many performances of him the OP has seen. This is more inline with his roles than Oppenheimer was. Please do something about the political junk on the Trending page. Please. All those things do is create more hostility, fighting, and negative experiences here. I find it interesting how interpretations of scenes can be so different. I felt those scenes were central to the development of Tye Sheridan's character. They were genuine in their depictions and visually explored his own changing behavior and personality, which to me, greatly enhanced the telling of the story. As for the "manky' comment, wait until you age a bit then maybe your opinions of older people might change a bit. Thank you for the link. It was interesting reading. Your infantile reply shows not only are you clueless about sexual assault and abuse but you lack the sincerity of a longer reply. I just hope none of your loved ones never encounter the victimization his victims did. But then again, you probably wouldn't give a shit anyway. Yes, let's placate your entertainment desires and forget his victims just so you can be happy. I don't know too much about others, but my thoughts are the third season is like the splitting of the chrysalis with the beauty of what is inside slowly being revealed as the show has developed from an egg, to a pupa, to the chrysalis, to season four. Or sort of like each season has been a volume of change and each volume has chapters on the characters following how they evolve and grow. Have you seen the third season of The Bear, and if so, do you think like I do that many are missing the point of the third season of The Bear and possibly the overall arc of the series so far? From the responses, I'm pretty surprised more don't use YouTube for movies and programs. YouTube is like a hidden, untapped source for so many movies. I'll use Plex to do most searches for programs and movies (it searches Hoopla and Kanopy, too - two other free resources for movies and programs), and if it doesn't show up there, I'll try YouTube, and often times they will be there and especially, older film noir movies and movies not as popular as the big blockbusters, like slasher/horror flicks from the 60s,70s, and 80s. Not only that, the algorithm for finding similar titles isn't too bad, either. I watched this one crime flick, The Touch of Flesh, from the 60s that had a beatnik-hip and lurid vibe to it and after watching it, three or four others similar to this genre that I had never heard of popped up. And all without commercials. It is especially good for us cheap ones. Is sites like this were more viral, this would be a heck of a marketing ploy.
