Not to bash, but I'm in the same boat as Moonglum. I thought Tommy Boy was hilarious, remember most all parts. PT&A I only recall a couple funny parts. And just like him/her, to me it's all about the laughs for a comedy. I read that the vacuum salesman actor died the same day that El Camino was released in theaters. Denzel's CIA friend is Dakota's mother. That wasn't the scene being referenced, that was later in the movie. The OP is talking about right near the beginning, when Phillipe was back at his desk when Cooper reentered. Just rewatched this for the 1st time in a long time. I believe it showed there was a traffic accident. Which would explain why everyone was dead stopped. I personally think the end of the Marine Biologist episode is the funniest thing I've ever seen on TV. Another one I loved is in the shrinkage episode, but not that part. When everyone has seen Jane (George's new GF) topless, and once George finds out, wonders how good of a look they got. "if she was a criminal and you had to describe her to a police sketch artist" and Jerry goes "they'd pick her up in 10 minutes". LMAO. My name is George, I'm unemployed and live with my parents. Hi, I'm Veronica (not positive that was the name). Too young, he wasn't known yet then. I believe Primal Fear in 96 was what put Norton on the map. And what a phenomenal start. But if FG had come out after that, then I agree, he would have been good. Late to the party. My take on this question is this... from all the football we see in the movie, it appears he is only returning kickoffs. I'm just guessing that a kickoff returner only wouldn't have been a high priority back then. The time period setting is before my time, but I don't think straight speed was a huge selling/drafting point at that time. I know the Cowboys had Bullet Hayes in the 60s who had won Olympic gold medals, but other than that, I don't recall any talk of speedster studs from back then. Renaldo Nehemiah in the 80's was a former track stud, and he had a few TDs in the pros helped by his speed, but he is hardly remembered. It's funny, I've seen this movie maybe 50 times over the years, and just watching now (since it was on), and that throwaway line caught my attention. I never remembered that at all and was like what, why were they never shown or mentioned again. So my thought is Jenny was the oldest. I would think if they were older, they would do whatever to protect the youngest from the same fate. No idea obviously, but that would be my guess. View all replies >
