That scene ugh. That’s so not how asthma and inhalers work.... Not to mention the guy was a buff 6’4” trained soldier, so those blows had major force to them. The masked guy was a teenager, there is no way in hell he could withstand that sort of trauma to the head. The way he easily killed the soldier so early on was so anti-climatic. Everytime each of the main characters turned they’re backs, immediately I said “he’s not dead!!” This is such a tired trope that really needs to go. It’s lazy writing! With some kids, that sort of abuse can reinforce that sort of fearfulness and timidity. He was like, 5?? I was a kid in the 90’s when I saw this, and i cried buckets. So so sad. Yeah and ate lobster for a casual Family dinner. Definitely bougie Um kids that age actually use foul language when they think no adults are around. It’s realistic He’s also still a child, so maybe that was meant to remind us of that fact? Some people are actually born evil 🤷🏻‍♂️... He’s one part of the movie that really didn’t age well for me. He was incredibly obnoxious and none of it was funny or entertaining. Very grating!! Another annoying thing that keeps happening in horror movies is when people split up and go their separate ways. No! Stick together. I think a lot of it has to do with nostalgia. It’s a great cast, of course. And interesting premise, I suppose. But the cgi and dialogue is pretty bad, even for 1997. Actually, if we are talking about Hollywood it would be much higher. The entertainment industry is heavily populated with queer people both on camera and behind the scenes. Welcome to the real world. Also, how many screen names do you have here, Jesus. Yeah, a major trope used in the 90’s unfortunately. Very irritating... Are you really suggesting 99% of the population doesn’t tolerate/accept queer sexuality as simply a part of life? Or do you mean 99% of the population is not queer? Statistically, queer people make up roughly 11-15% of the population. But yes, still a minority so not the norm. But in terms of societal acceptance, it is now the norm in 2020 to realize that queer people are all around us. Have you taken a look around you? So for mainstream sci-Fi movie made in 2020, of course there will be queerness portrayed. This isn’t the 1950’s my god! Nope, it’s called reality lol. You do realize we are in 2020, right? In 1990 it may have been “virtue signaling,” but in 2020 it’s simply a part of life.... Are you either in middle school, or born in the 50’s?? It’s 2020, homosexuality and queerness has become a cultural norm. Deal with it, or be looked at as an ass backwards idiot. Because it’s Jim Caviezel. He’s 6’2” tall, tanned, nice smile, with immaculate skin, and he’s romantic! That is a very attractive man. And Jennifer Lopez is a beautiful woman, so of course she is going to be drawn to him. Hello! Basically, no matter what don’t become the very thing that you despise. Don’t let the hate consume you too. I was a senior in High School when I saw this in theater. I saw it 3 times in theater! I love a good revenge flick. Jim Caviezel and Guy Pierce were my 90’s crushes!!
