He's also a "fave" for people who like a bit of comedy. His absurd reactions give us a laugh. While he's a "fave" most of us aren't idolizing him. How this concept would escape an adult is beyond me.

He’s one part of the movie that really didn’t age well for me. He was incredibly obnoxious and none of it was funny or entertaining. Very grating!!

Honestly there's a lot of these guys in the military, always on the verge of being demoted or thrown in the brink for a few weeks. Still, when it came down to the fight he performed admirably.

I hated him as a kid, and it gave me a real dislike for Bill Paxton. With Hudson, and Chet from Weird Science, it took me a lot of years to not be annoyed by him. He was never a favourite actor of mine, but I did appreciate some of his better roles.
