Every episode just tackles a different subject about humanity and technology but the dark sides and also that, how you put it, implications on the "forever," sense of despair after the conclusion of any given episode.
I believe her company/cult was the main financial backers for this project. At least i thought i read that somewhere years back.
They were not the only 2 who survived and not all were just kids. There were hundreds of ships leaving Earth at the end of the movie. Are we to believe that each ship only carried one white boy and one white little girl? Are we to believe that ALL the saved humans were kids? The kid from the beginning grew up and knew where to be picked up, but she died. Also, the alien puts the sentence in the boy's mind, only the ones that heard the message can go. Does that mean only kids and/or adults? I would think there is way more diversity than what people picked up on. In my opinion, there are plenty of clues that say thousands of humans of all walks, colors, ages, were saved by the aliens.
Right, huh?
Brimstone and Fire. Everything in this movie was a metaphor. Not necessarily to for Christianity but the perspective of what humans believe in the bible and what is actually happening.
Bible... Brimstone and Fire, Angels, All the Sun metaphors.
Actually happening. Aliens know things that are not bound by time, They communicate to select view, thing that will happen, where and how many will be effect. They also give day/time/place where to be saved before the end comes.
Bible... Humans that have no real concept of science and how things happen in the real world. So it must be God.
Actually Happening, Humans grew up, learned about stuff and now can explain a lot more than they could in the Biblical Days.

Its all about perspective or one of my favorite lines in a Star Wars movie, "Frome a certain point of view."
Yeah that was kind of weird that she literally becomes a madwoman pretty much outta nowhere. I always found that off about her character in this movie.
Would it be "inappropriate" to call my band "The AZ-5 Band" - "The AZ-5 Button" or just "AZ-5" lol????
I just saw "Z" this last week. I liked it. I am with you though. I thought something was supper "off" about John... We have the moment we meet him. I get that crazy little behavior when he can breath and all that. Then you have him getting drunk and being really mentally off. Maybe he had a drinking problem back before the "Event" but we see a personality change with the drinking. We see it with Caleb showing up. We see it right away with him jumping to conclusions and thinking he might have left Ann's brother to die. It isn't that big a stretch that murder is something he could and has done. Just because he is an engineer doesn't mean he isn't these things also. The guy witnessed the end of the world. I do like how they leave it as maybe he did or didn't but I think he did it.
What was it that was said in ROCKETMAN. You have to kill the person you are to be the person you want to be. Maybe that applies here in this universe as well. I'd love to see a legit remake of "The Quiet Earth" just to see how they approach humanity when there is only a handful of people left and women are scarce...
