I'm not sure if there is anything to compare it to. I loved the early seasons of Walking Dead then it turned to complete crap. But that show was never building to any kind of conclusion so while the decline was frustrating and disappointing it's not quite as bad as what happened with Game of Thrones.
With Game of Thrones I noticed the decline starting in season 5 but I still liked seasons 5 and 6. Season 7 had it's faults but I thought it was building towards something big in season 8 so I accepted it. Season 8 sucking in such an epic way is probably unprecedented.
The scene bring up many questions. How did Bronn get into Winterfell completely unnoticed? How did he know where Tyrion and Jamie were? How did he know that nobody else would be in the room with them? Why doesn't Dani provide a security detail for Tyrion when he is her top adviser? Where did Bronn go after he left? The North is a cold snowy place. It doesn't seem like there would be a lot of safe places for Bronn to hide out there.
I wondered that too. Why didn't she just fly behind them?
I doubt it. I think Sansa is getting close to Tyrion because he is Dani's top adviser and knows most of her plans. Sansa doesn't trust Dani so getting close to Tyrion is a strategic move.
That's true, Sam and Bran talked about that in the previous episode. Still weird though. Night King waits a thousand or so years to do this and he can't wait 5 more minutes for his army to win the battle before trying to kill Bran.
It seems like this part of the story was relevant. He wants to wipe out humanity either way. Bran didn't need to be a priority. Night King eventually would have gotten to him.
It was something about Arya killing people with brown eyes, green eyes, and blue eyes. The blue eyes part seems to have implied the Night King
Not only did it end in one battle but they didn't even explain why the battle happened. What did the white walkers want? Why didn't they finish everyone else off before attempting to kill Bran. Why did they even want to kill Bran so much?
