I haven't heard the English dubbing but the Italian dubbing didn't seem well done at all. It certainly didn't match the actors mouths, so its really no more legitimate than English or any other dubbing would be. I would assume Pasolini worked with mostly Italian actors and actresses, but maybe not in this case? Were any of the characters voiced (on the Italian audio) by the actual person on screen? Yeah, been there... I think people read too much into this. Brother isn't looking at his sister in a sexual way. Why should she feel uncomfortable? She's got a shirt on. Yeah, its so clearly a body double. The cuts between tit and face, or all the nude shots from behind and obscured by frosted glass. I don't get why Bronson had such a fit about it. What is the point if you are tying to make people think its her? What did you accomplish by using a double? Body doubles are lame. If you won't do the part, don't take the part. I disagree, I think she did well for the part and didn't find her lacking at all. I thought she was also good in "Neon Demon". Sure would like a good blu-ray of this. Come on Criterion! No, they didn't keep her as a slave. There are already four dead kids, a dead adult, crashed cars, damaged property, a fire in the woods. Not to mention the dead guy from out of town, who would be at first considered "missing" along with her. Like the one parent said, "police will be coming". It will already be hard enough for them to cover all this up, even if they all stick together and none of the other parents (like parents of the four dead kids) crack and spill the beans. You really think they're going to keep the missing girl around? She's dead, and they're going to do what they can to destroy/hide the body. I agree. Bobbie needed to be hot. Ann-Margret is. Ellen Bursytn isn't. Like you, I could see her as Cindy. What are the current options to see S3 in the US? I bought S1 and S2 on Vudu and am about done. They don't have S3, and I don't see it on Amazon, iTunes, or anywhere else. Is it available with any streaming service? She is really beautiful. Very seductive looking, Though you could have taken the time to not butcher the spelling of her name. It's Corinne Clery, or to be even more accurate, Corinne Cléry. I always remember her from "Moonraker", where she unfortunately gets a pretty brutal (off screen) death. But how are the tits? I don't want every "babe" to look like a glamor model. The ladies in the promos for this look good to me. But what I hate are obvious implants. There wasn't anything remotely anti-semitic about it. That's just how some are trying to frame it as an excuse. Actually I thought Katelyn Pearce as "Lilith" the sex demon was one of the few good things about this. I expected to like the movie more. She's stunning, just how I'd imagine a succubus would look. Great natural (natural looking, at least) breasts. Though the pasted on merkin was ridiculous looking. I was wondering specifically if the Hopkins event was real. At the open of the movie, there are a series of old photographs, and one has some writing on it "The Hopkins Outrage" or something like that. Were those authentic photos of the period, or just props for the movie? It's not awful. I enjoyed it, but I rented it from Redbox for 60 cents. It's got a definite Lovecraft vibe, so if you like his stories, you might enjoy this. The blowing into a bottle on a bridge is no different than any other silly ritual that supposedly summons an entity, like The Candyman or The Bell Witch. Needs a couple more shower scenes and at least one lesbo sex scene. It's okay. They do the old standard trick of giving you one shower scene up front (with actresses who I don't think appear again) and then there's little to no nudity from that point forward.
I haven't seen the movie, but I just found out that one of the actresses in this film, Amy Braverman, is in my creative writing class! I gotta go see this film now cuz thats just too cool...
So, did you hit that or what? I don't know if there is really a 119/120 minute version or not. IMDB currently lists it as 120. I've got it on Vudu and it runs 114 minutes. Seems complete, but its been years since I first saw this on VHS, so I can't be sure. I'm not able to find any released version with a 120 or 119 minute run time. The 109 minute runtime may be omitting the credits as that is right where the movie ended in my 114 minute version. And what we did see was probably a body double, no? If you see a nude body and you can't see the face, 95% of the time, its a double. Yeah, she is. Just watched this movie for the first time. I was taken a back a bit when Angela - Conchita appears, but damn, she is gorgeous. Carole Boquet is beautifull too, of course, but Angela was a bit curvy and much more to my liking.
