I can vouch Pontypool is a great film.
I wish I could erase all memories of ever watching BB so I could watch it again. You're in for a ride.
Oh thank you ^_^
I'm pretty sure they rejected it him because he didn't involve too much in the inspection of the place. Also a good engineer will always keep in mind all the possible outcomes and all the things that could eventually go wrong. And that was the main difference between the two. The first one saw it as an easy job, and he gave Mike a deadline without much consideration. He was brought to the place blindfolded yet he completely dismissed the secrecy needed for the operation.
Now the German guy was a natural engineer, he correctly guessed where they wanted the secret entrance and he "got his hands dirty" measuring the place. He considered every single variable into the project, and I'm pretty sure he even thought of some neither Mike nor Gus had considered. His deadline was also more pessimistic, yet more realistic.
A nice symbolism was how the first engineer rejected the water Mike had offered him. The German gladly accepted the water and pretty much bathed in it. It was a symbol of trust.
She was very uncomfortable when she found out Mesa Verde was going to start expanding like crazy. Mesa Verde has always demanded a lot of focus and work. Her broken arm was a consequence of all the hard work and late nights she had put into Mesa Verde and she has now realized that no matter how good her work there is, Mesa Verde will just keep squeezing the soul out of her. So she's starting to realize there's no point in doing her best for those guys, because at the end her health and well-being will be the only ones affected. That's why she's a criminal lawyer now, it feels more rewarding to help people in need and it's something she can handle very well.
And here I am, 7 years later. IMDb's message boards are gone, but some sweet soul scrapped through all of them and made them available here. Life can be good sometimes...
I want to check this movie again, I wanna see if it still holds up (I don't remember anything about the plot to be honest).

Matt Groening is too old to create anything new and worth watching nowadays. He did a great contribution with The Simpsons and Futurama, but it's very hard for him to compete with current adult animation.
Circle (2016)
The Man from Earth (2007)
Both films develop in real time and in one room. They are both terrific.
Oh Captain, my captain!
Best description of these movies.
Stone, how could you say that?? :( I've played your guess-the-movie games, remember? [sad5]
Wow, thanks for sharing that story. There's something definitively fascinating about watching movies this way.
I'm glad I found someone who also enjoyed experiencing this way of watching movies. Let's make t-shirts! Let's start a movement!
Theatrical or Unrated?
I prefer the theatrical version.
Holy crap, this guy is totally into it. I hadn't had read this stuff but now I can see why Disney wanted to cut ties with him.
Ryan Gosling should be the Top 1 of Girly Men.
Kind of a long shot, but could it be Leprechaun 2?
LATIN AMERICAN SPANISH:
The Shawshank Redemption = Dreams of escaping
Pulp Fiction = Violent Times
Inception = The Origin
One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest = Trapped with no way out
Jaws = Shark
Joseph Gordon Levitt should have turned down the role. He sucks at roasting, it was very awkward to see him do it.
Jeff Ross was great as always.
The kick ass action scenes accompanied by an excellent soundtrack made me fall in love with this series.
