In any case, all the naysayers predicting doom for this film were wrong, as usual. They're nothing more than trolls. And yes, the US Box Office will pick up again when the snow melts. LOL
When even SANTA says "You'll shoot your eye out, kid!" I'll never forget the first time I saw the movie and I fell out. The perfect end to that sequence in the film.
And there's nothing wrong with being good stewards of the environment. What's wrong is when it becomes the ONLY priority to exclusion of truth and common sense.
It seems to be coming from virtually everyone who attends the movie. Evidently you're typing in ignorance of the exit reaction reports.
Not only did that comment use the wrong numbers, it makes no sense. It somehow seemed to ignore the fact that Avatar 3 will ALSO sell tickets when released. LOL Despite the desperate hope of Cameron and Avatar detractors, this film will make a profit on US ticket sales alone, and international receipts will be gravy.
What bugs me is her underbite. LOL
It they ever remade it, that would be a useless waste of time I'd utterly ignore. :-)
This has got to be one of the most useless debates I've ever seen. LOL
Ummmmm, if not, it wouldn't have lasted for 20 seasons? Not really hard to figure that out.
Ken Curtis as Festus was GOOD. My FAVORITE line from the entire series was Festus asking Doc to read a letter he'd received.
"Doc, you know I can't write readin' nor read writin'!'
:-)
LOL Sucker.
The reason I stopped reading reviews was a reviewer in my local paper. Her name was Jo Ann Rhett. Actually, she was quite reliable. She had her nose in some kind of moronic stuck-up cloud. If she hated a movie, me and virtually everyone else would love it. If she loved a movie, it would bore me to tears. Other reviewers are not as reliable.
Here's another clue. Learn to relax and enjoy a movie. Most of them are quite enjoyable if you don't have a stick up your ass about one thing or another.
I remember that episode, even after watching it years ago. Gunsmoke often performed tragedies, and throughout its long, long run. No question that was one of them. As I recall, Best's character was unquestionably guilty, regardless of how likable or remorseful he was. In the day, he had to hang.
Chester wasn't an official deputy, no. He did odd jobs, primarily for Dillon, but he'd occasionally discuss other jobs. However, most people considered him something like a deputy, as he often accompanied Dillon to apprehend criminals, watched the jail when there were prisoners, and occasionally Dillon asked him to escort someone to jail.
Dennis Weaver and Don Knotts passed away on consecutive days in 2006, and at the time I considered their passing the mark of the two most famous deputies in television history.
Two VERY different kinds of series, and no reason to choose a "best one". Western fans enjoyed both and watched both equally.
The same is true for Paladin. True fans of Westerns watched ALL three. ;-)
Personally, I don't read reviews and haven't since the early 80s. I'm more than capable of deciding whether I like something or not without having someone else tell me that I should not.
Can we say "get over it"? LOL There's anal, and there is ANAL. ;-)
We laugh out loud at some point every episode, but then we've always been able to relax and enjoy things without worrying about whether our sense of humor met with the approval of humorless schmucks who wouldn't know a joke if they got buried in them in a closet.
Not everyone is you. The original Avatar was worth watching if for no other reason that the visual achievement. I'm glad we didn't live far from the theater, because I had a hard time getting the visual out of my head even as I drove.
83% positive from professional reviewers on RottenTomatoes. It looks like you're just trolling or you don't get out much. ;-)
