You know, he's not Gay-org (Georg), he's Straight-org, get it? That massive open elevator shaft looks dangerous as hell though! Did you click the JustPasteIt link? There’s a 3000 word version of the above post there. For your reading pleasure. About the double jeopardy comment: that applies no matter which version of the movie you watch. Whether the second missile explodes in space harmlessly or it releases the Phantom Zone villains, it’s true that Supes couldn’t stop both missiles. About spinning back time: nothing about this plot device makes any sense at all so there’s no point trying to analyse it too deeply in my opinion 😄 If George Lucas still owned the movies, he probably would be interested in making special editions of the prequels. But since he sold them to Disney is not up to him any more, and Disney’s more interested in making crappy shows on their streaming service. But then why do both Jimmy and Lois complain about Superman leaving them in the middle of an earthquake, gas station blowing up, telephone poles falling over the road, and so on? In the original plan, one missile activates the San Andreas fault and Supes repairs the fault, rescues the school bus, builds a dam, etc. rescuing everyone including Lois who doesn't die a horrible suffocating death. Meanwhile, the second missile explodes in space releasing the Kryptonian villains, ending the first movie on a cliffhanger with Zod shouting “FREEEEEE!” (shown in the pre-credits scene of the Donner Cut and I was never a fan of that particular shot). Clicking the "ignore" button is a winning strategy. But that's an interesting picture you've painted... You mean Windows XP :) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bliss_(photograph) I was always confused by this. So Dede was murdered two days before Michelle arrived with the smuggled goods for entirely unrelated reasons? That seems like a far fetched coincidence. I agree. Even as a kid I was never impressed by the Tatooine scenes of Jedi. The speeder chase and final space battle were the best parts of the movie. No, the best of all the SW movies. A masterpiece and a bona fide classic. Looks better here: https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/GaA5fwpXYAACJJW_43a7d4.jpg Is that a tattoo of a toilet plunger? I agree lol #3 on your list is a lot worse in the Donner Cut because he turns back time (again) so his first altercation with Rocky never happened, which means he’s picking a fight with someone who’s never seen him before. (Although that doesn’t explain why Rocky tries to punch him in the stomach. Really this scene makes no sense at all in the Donner Cut.) X is not a reputable source. For *anything*.
Obi-Wan thinks Luke was their "last hope" in the OT. Yoda has to remind him of Leia, even although they were both there when they were born!
Ah okay, I thought we were talking about episode 4. You’re referring to episode 5. Anyway I never had a problem with that line. Luke was the one who trained as a Jedi, the only one who had a chance at defeating Vader and the Emperor. Leia had a pampered upbringing on Alderaan (btw thanks Obi-Wan for giving one child the life of a Princess and dumping the other one on a desert planet) and there was never any evidence she could become a Jedi Knight. Those are both guaranteed. Urgh, no Hayden Christensen please. Besides, Anakin wasn’t even in the OT so there’s no need to get him involved. Lucas already shoehorned him into the last scene of Jedi. What’s the issue with Obi-Wan and Princess Leia?
