I disagree. Jamie was a much better character because he wasn't one-sided like Haze, who was just a bad guy. Jamie was leading two lives, the gangster one and the family one. The fact that we occasionally sympathise with him and understand his motives makes him much more interesting. Haze was a good evil sidekick but as a leading character, Jamie was definitely the better choice. In no particular order: Best: - Sonnie’s Edge - Beyond the Aquila Rift - Good Hunting Worst: - Alternate Histories - When the Yoghurt Took Over - Ice Age (sorry bruh) Was starting to think I was the only one. White Bear is by far my least favourite episode of Black Mirror. It's the only episode in the entire series that made me go: "Nope, that would never happen...". I mean, there's so much crazy technology going on in a lot of the episodes that will probably never actually exist, but it's sci-fi, so that's fine. But if we're speaking human behaviour, White Bear is the only ridiculously unrealistic episode of the series. There will always be people who believe in that whole eye for an eye kind of punishment and just want to see criminals tortured and killed. But it would never ever ever come to a point where that kind of people make up such a vast majority of the population that a theme park like this could ever exist. It was far too one-sided to be realistic. No one was against the setup. As viewers we're pretty much left to believe that everyone in the world are loving the White Bear theme park. If the park had been some secret and shady place, where justice sadists could pay a lot of money to see the torture of criminals, or if we they had at least put in some protesters who were against the whole thing, the episode could have made sense. Personally I'd say that if you were only mildly entertained by The Entire History of You (S01.E03), this show probably isn't for you. That was not only my favourite episode of the entire series, but even one of my favourite episodes of any TV-series. If you still want to give Black Mirror one last shot, I would recommend San Junipero, Hang the DJ and White Christmas as they are the standout episodes for me. As this is an anthology series you can just jump to any episode you want really. Unlike the above user I would definitely not recommend White Bear. That was the worst episode of the entire series in my opinion. Taste is a funny thing, huh? I’m suprised how many of you are mentioning White Bear. I just finished season 4, and White Bear is still my least favorite episode of the entire series. I’m not here to bash it, because it’s of course a matter of taste. I just thought I’d explain why it’s my least favorite episode and how I think it stands out from the rest: In a lot of the episodes, it seems highly unlikely that the depicted technology will ever exist in real life. But that part is totally fine by me in a sci-fi show. The two things I love about Black Mirror, is that the episodes generally have some very interesting and relevant themes and that I think they depict some very interesting and quite realistic behavior from the characters if we “accept” the existense of all the crazy tech. For instance in my favorite episode The Entire History of You: a grain that records your every move and lets you relive every moment like that will most likely never exist. But it’s an extremely interesting idea, and I find it very realistic that someone would react the way the main character does, given the things he experiences. But I don’t feel that way about White Bear. Someone turning a convicted criminal’s sentence into an attraction without showing a single ounce of sympathy for the woman is highly unrealistic and is in my oppinion an overestimate of the evil in humans. It was too one-sided and was missing someone who was against the whole concept. Something like that would never go down without any protests. I’m curious why some of you liked it so much?
