Does it get better after season 1. (spoilers)

Because season one was very disappointing.Didn't care much for the first 2 episodes.Especially the first one.The 3rd episode was mildly entertaining but lacked any significant ending.So his wife leaves him with their kid and he's left alone and miserable.Not much of an ending.

Also i'm not getting the Twilight zone comparisons.Other than the fact that their both anthologies this feels nothing like the Twilight zone.Twilight zone had morality tales every week with sci fi and horror themes and twist endings that always had a message.Black mirror episodes feel more like a commentary on today's society and reliance on technology with very up in the air ambiguous endings with not much resolution.

Season 3 is the standout season. The Christmas one and White Bear are the best in season 2. The other two are OK I guess but not great. Season four was a letdown.

I'd stick with it until season 3 and if you don't like then, I'd throw in the towel.

Personally I'd say that if you were only mildly entertained by The Entire History of You (S01.E03), this show probably isn't for you. That was not only my favourite episode of the entire series, but even one of my favourite episodes of any TV-series.

If you still want to give Black Mirror one last shot, I would recommend San Junipero, Hang the DJ and White Christmas as they are the standout episodes for me. As this is an anthology series you can just jump to any episode you want really.

Unlike the above user I would definitely not recommend White Bear. That was the worst episode of the entire series in my opinion. Taste is a funny thing, huh?

True.I actually really liked White bear.White Christmas and Nosedive were also good.My 3 favorite so far.

I'm surprised how many people are saying history of you is their favorite. I've only seen the first 2 seasons (just started watching last week),but consider that episode middle of the road so far. I really liked the first 2 episodes,and white bear as well. If you really liked Entire History of You,you should check out Final Cut with Robbin Williams. It explores very similar technology,but goes a different way.
