And don't forget how bad Solo bombed. It was the first SW movie to not make a profile. What did they expect with a pan-sexual Lando and an SJW droid! If you had told me years ago that Star Wars would end up as a failed franchise, I would have laughed. I'm not laughing now. It makes me mad. Instead of the writers, producers and even some actors calling out lifelong fans and disparaging them as "misogynists" or "man babies" or worse, they might have listened and learned something. Too late now for some of those fans as they aren't coming back. If the MCU isn't careful, they will suffer the same fate. Nobody I know gives a rats ass about stupid characters like Squirrel Girl or Ms. Marvel. And just why is it ripe for gender swapping? It's never been made into a movie or show before. Shouldn't we get an authentic FOUNDATION before SJW's start prying it apart in future interpretations? And it would make a huge difference to those who've read and love the books. I'm betting if Asimov was alive, he would likely agree. Have you read the books? If not, how can you say it's ripe for gender swapping? That's not even a credible argument. I grew up seeing the Star Wars OT in movie theaters. New Hope and Empire are still some of the best Sci-Fi movies ever made and Return was at least entertaining, albeit a lesser exciting movie than the first two. The prequels were hit-and-miss but the Mandalorian is great. If Disney keeps putting out content like Mandalorian, they'll win the fans back. My sources are from youtube - Midnight's Edge, The Quartering, Clownfish T.V. and Mike Zeroh. They have some excellent videos where they discuss the latest word. So far, they're all saying it's just rumor but the youtuber who initially broke the story - Doomcock of Overlord DVD - has been spot on in the past when he's shared things from the rumor mill. Kennedy is out in 2021 and she's been relegated to only one Star Wars project, that all-female show supposedly to be penned by Hedland. The Mandalorian, the next Clone Wars project and other drawing board concepts are currently being overseen by Jon Favreau. He's working with Filoni and Lucas to make Star Wars as big as the MCU. Disney likely won't erase the Sequel Trilogy but going forward will pretend as if those movies never existed, making the next generation of Star Wars stories start from Return Of The Jedi. Yeah, I just finished watching Season 3 yesterday and I'm done with the series. There wasn't anything revealing and Frank being killed off before learning more about his character was rather disappointing. It's like they "phoned in" a plot to fill a script timetable. They could have done so much more. I would also like to see Denzel Washington in an MCU role. I think he'd be great as a Spiderman villain or a cosmic being, like the Beyonder. Good point! There's are lots of types of music and books and movies that are interesting but also pure dreck. I'd say it's a philosophical farce but I'm interested in your point of view, as to the parable you're seeing. Please elaborate. I love movies about Dystopian futures but this movie was ultimately pointless and yes, stupid. What a waste of time to watch it! Nothing was explained. Was this pit construct some kind of giant sociological experiment by a totalitarian government? Was it created by aliens to study human behavior? Was it a holding place and punishment for heinous criminals who had their original memories wiped? Who or what is the "authority" and why would anyone in their right mind agree to go into such a place for a accredited degree? And exactly what message would be sent by returning the child to the very top level? It reminded me a lot of The Cube. That was another pointless movie about a elaborate prison that had no explanations, no conclusions, uninteresting characters and an empty narrative. They were real people he had killed and stuffed. This is the movie that should have come before Endgame, not Captain Marvel. It would have given Natasha's death more heft. She definitely been the best female character in the MCU. I can see this making 1 billion. The thrill of the MCU is still alive, despite the apparent "wokeness" of some future projects. As for Phase IV, MCU/Disney needs a few big hits. Nothing in that slate is especially appealing, save for this and the second Doctor Strange movie, so Black Widow has to be good. The MCU has a way of taking the classic comic look of characters and doing a pretty good job of rendering them in a realistic way. I like the Taskmaster helmet and faceplate. He looks menacing and not cartoonish. I was in high school and went to see the movie with my brother and one of our good friends. It was great! The story, the acting and even special effects were good. This is still my "go to" movie when discussing Star Trek with newbies. It was the best of original Trek! I tell them to please watch the great story arc started with ST2:WOK and ends with ST4:TJH. Those three movies were excellent. Even now with all the advanced CGI in blockbusters, ST2:WOK is far superior to any of the Abrams movies. I place it in the tops with the original TRON (also 1982) and The Last Starfighter (1984). The 1980's was a great time for Sci-Fi! I don't think so but to each their own. Loki was the best part of the Thor movies, in my opinion. He's pandering because that's what every artist trying to fit in Hollywood does these days. Look at Jim Starlin and the really stupid comments he made about that Trump political meme. It's a damn meme, Jim. You acted like a total ass-hat over nothing and verbally tore down a great comic book/movie villain that you created. What a skullnick! Who in their right mind thinks Brea Larson "looked good" in a tight fitting outfit? I've seen stuffed garbage bags that have a more appealing form. Shessh! Poor Gerry. He needs to get back on his meds and take more naps. Have you seen this guy lately? I used to like Ewan McGregor, however he's become a major douche over the past several years. Oh Lord NO! Dennings is a one note actress who's only talent is making endless quips, most of which are not funny. She made Thor: The Dark World tougher to sit through because of her stupid ramblings. Please Marvel and DC, let's have LESS of her (as in 0 of her) in any future comic book movies.
