Excatly right. And Its funny how the first season is so different from the second. And In general how each show differentiates from the other. You would think (well, hope at least) there would be this single authority overlooking the quality control of these shows. Like HBO, which makes sure pretty much every show they put out is top no matter the subject/genre. And Its not just quality regarding story and writers/directors, they obviously change EVERYTHING from one show/season to another. Iron Fist that you mentioned. Sure It had the overly stretched problem (that for some strange reason all of these shows have) and a few other problems. But It couldve been good. Yet for me, on the biggest problems with IF was fighting. Which is ridiculous since they proved with production of Daredevil at the very beginning, they can do that very well. Why the heck you then hire a different and the worst possible team to train, choreograph and edit the fights for IF. Iron Fist had fights that were, no exaggeration, at times like those old chinese flicks. Punches 5 inches away from the face, everyone throwing themselves on the ground with nobody touching them, sound effects of broken celery and clasping hands. Ridiculous amater stuff like that. I dont know how this is even possible. Its like they start over with each show, each season. Everything, writing, directing, choreography... why not better themselves instead of starting anew each time. yeah I liked it also, though Ive always loved comics like Murphy or L. Black. And we need comics like him to hammer it back a bit from this seriously ridiculous SJW place we're now at. Might be a bit brutal at times but the way the public lately reacts to everything and absurd acceptance of every single lunacy as expression or identification, sh1t like that needs to go. Its fun watching him cause it put everything again in a bit more of a real perspective. exactly right, my thoughts too. And those of you rationalizing the retarded scientist's actions by "its not literal dur" or stupid excuses like that, IT DOESNT MATTER if it is or not. Its not mutually exclusive. Good directors make movies that can make sense on all levels and have smart scientists and still be multilayered and deep not swap one for another like this so so stupid turd of a movie or Prometheus(which at least has some redeeming qualities). Yeah, Its a bit difficult to watch, the lead is kinda annoying, the humour is not that funny and in general it feels like their whole entertainment foundations are built on being "out there" and nutty. I dont feel much like watching it futher. [edit] seen 5 episodes now and Im getting a little bit more into it. The humor could still do with a little bit more originality but I like the adventurous angle and characters. Not sure whats she supposed to become but she definitely made this seasons pretty much unwatchable. I get they tried to make the character like that, I mean we had Janice in Sopranos that you just wanted to shoot yet she was an excellent character, but Trish was just idiotic and created poorly. And it doesnt help the whole season is very bad. It doesnt go anywhere, its so slow, theres nothing to draw you to the next episode, no tension or anticipation. Just...so...effing...BLAH. I also didnt like that ending now that I think about it. Fine perhaps, if it was the last season. But as it was, it was a bit forced to be left open "like life is". At the very least im guessing some question or information wouldve come from the Russians if he disappeared since Chris and Paulie were the last to see him (and the russians were aware of the collection that day IIRC). And if he came back...well that wouldve been felt in many ways. yeah he does seem always the same. And I dont get why he even got into this franchise, he knew what he was getting into. Now he complains in interviews he wants out and doesnt want to play Batman anymore. we know dude, it shows, at least be freakin professional. Agreed. Its unbeliveable how quick/drastic the change has been. Up until now it had its ups and downs but overall it was around average with a pretty decent episode here and there. Yet lately, like its been pushed off a cliff. Ive stopped watching very very few show just like that, momentarily. But that abysmal feminist BS episode and now this. Are they trying to write terrible and awful episodes. I have trouble believing anyone is this dumb, writing this bubblegum, sugary, cliche ridden nonsense. Im done, this is getting so bad its ridiculous. Ill read the reviews and watch if theyre overall positive...cause lately, lots of people are finding this change cringeworthy. Eh, people are stupid and over emotional. Not saying its perfect at all but this is leagues better than Orville in every sense and this is coming from ST fan. The attention to detail, dialog, tech. speak, worlds, costumes is lightyears better than Orville. Not to mention Orville's stories and narration are as straight as an arrow and predictable AF, the exact opposite of what ST always was. lol yeah, I didnt even feel going into inconsistencies and stupidity of the plot. Wouldnt know where to begin. And that metal arm chick yes, lol... what, she carries that 50 lbs bucket with metal everywhere :) ? Wouldnt she have a metal belt buckle or some jewelry for convinience. And why would she create a metal arm and then shoot bullets from it,also dont forget the huge recoil they showed it has for some reason lol... Wouldnt she just project the metal pieces themselves. This is an insulting attitude for sci-fi/fantasy logic and treats fans of the genre as morons. The chick who wrote this obviouslly knows zero about it and read nothing but love novels and watched soap operas all her life. Today Marvel/DC/ST/SW franchises are FAR most popular and financially successful ,especially those that dont treat their audience as complete fools. Like this ep/writer did. "a bit thick" is to put it nicely. I NEVER check for directors names/writers in tv shows and I dont expect too much from Flash, its a good enough show with a cliche here and there usually. But this time I did because WTF was this episode....I dont remember the last time rolling my eyes so much. It was cliche after cliche after generic SJW message etc... And that girl power theme (and dialog) throughout was so unimaginative and on the nose, mixed with candystripe sugary outlining that it made me want to vomit. Awful. please, PLEASE whoever wrote this shi1, dont ever write anything anymore hashtag you suck Soon looking at a woman longer than 1.5 seconds will constitute a sexual harrassment. But you cannot have just likeable or semi-likeable characters. You need Mickey to define Ray, to explain Ray and add complexity to the show. GoT would be missing a significant part without Joffrey. Making us take this rollercoaster of emotions is what great shows do. You cannot expect them to avoid making such characters. They give it structure, balance it out. Wow, never thought anyone would hate Voights character. IMO its one of the best Voights roles in his whole film work and I enjoy seeing him. He plays it so well and its a complex role. Also his son, awkward dumba5s son, might be annoying but I think its realistic response to what his distant closed off father is like and I hope they dont drop his story too much. Cannot wait for the next season, hopefully more eps. This new showrunner has nailed it, the show is back to its former glory. his rating for this sh1tty unfunny episode..? damn... 13th season... this is becoming like a soap opera :) but I still love it. Rarely theres such good chemistry and the writing to keep you interested. looking forward to it. blah...it was about as funny as the first episode... They lost it. is that whats it called, raunchy comedy? I never got what people liked about it. It was kinda like situational comedy without the humour part, more based on awkwardness and absurdity. To each his own I suppose. hehe I also had no idea but in any case, it was a good ep, typical ST stuff, I love it. Really missed ST on the TV and now we're getting two even. Though I gotta feeling that Orville might be better than the ST discovery...
