Not at all, especially the facial animation is unspectacular. This movie is perfect for millennials with ADHD. It is, however, really bad and lazy animation. Didn't you notice the siege machine like contraption the second boyfriend nearly fell over? They even show the broken window when he hit the contraption! It is obviously an automated brick throwing machine. Yeah, my first thought when she woke up: There are two of them. It was pretty much confirmed by the behaviour of the others. Later, when her mother talked about the password, that's spelling out: There are TWO. The talk about the soul, when she didn't eat and all that: She was the soul (i.e. the light, strongly implied to be the equivalent of a soul), the other "her" was the one without a soul. Memory is just chemistry of the brain, or some such, the movie tells us. I guess the remaining Anna was supposed to still have no soul at the end, in theory equally as not-fully-existing as the "light" Anna. The movie ended as an anti-materialism statement. Anna has empathy because she is the soul, the other Anna does not, she's a psychopath, because she has no soul. Of course there was a strong rebirth theme as well, with the caterpillar. I guess Anna was a new kind, both did not belong individually, only together. Material (and materialistic) Anna knew, she just manipulated spiritual empathy Anna, because she was too naive because of her inherent goodness due to her being a soul. The only neat thing they did was that some scenes were flashbacks to earlier Material Anna. It is evident in the first conversation on the phone with her mother - it can only be material anna, because she doesn't give a damned about her memorabilia, just like she couldn't care less about the tape. She obviously knew the password. By the way, the engineered child soldiers substory, even if it's based on a comic, it still kind of reminded me of the flashbacks in the tv-show Dark Angel, though that show wasn't nearly as bleak and violent as this. That show was about genetically engineered child super-soldiers who escape the big "evil corp" which manufactured and trained them. Good question, I wonder if they simply forgot to consider it, or if they deliberately meant for her to stay small? The other bit I don't remember from the movie. I suppose it's because she's near, he doesn't have Cerebro. I do too, I don't understand why people find her unattractive. That's a minor nitpick, imo. I found it much worse that a child had implanted a metal skeleton, which they suggested, as she was still growing. It just made no sense to me. Would have been better if she had had the bony extensions as in the way wolverine/Logan/James claws worked at first. Bigger question, why did they all fly right up to King Kong; even the big transporter flew straight at him even after he destroyed several others. The thing about helicopters is that they FLY, upwards for example. This is like the helicopter chase in Godzilla (the 1998 one) where the helicopters seem to be unable to rise, for some reason. Is King Kong a magnet for helicopters? They could all just have kept distance, after the first couple were destroyed. This is something done in many movies, but I think this is the worst example of this. Yes I agree. It's a total misrepresentation of the comic books, in fact I dislike both of the main actors, because the comic book characters are so recognisable. He is the worst, though, he is just so extremely far away from the drawn character that it makes me wonder what else the director and casting people didn't care about. I won't see it simply because of the casting, because the characters are certain types in the books. It's not about acting, I also wouldn't want Peter Dinklage as Hercules in a movie, despite I think he is great. I thought the three first were ok Out of ten, 1. Underworld - 7 2. Underworld Rise Of The Lycans - 7 3. Underworld: Evolution - 6½ 4. Underworld Blood Wars - 5½ 5. Underworld Awakening - 4 The fourth movie was a very different movie in a different style, it had little to do with the previous movies and I thought it sucked. Unbelievably this is the most expensive movie of them all, but it looked really cheap in my opinion (perhaps because of the 3D - I only saw it on DVD no 3D). Underworld Blood Wars looked a lot better, it felt more like an "Underworld" movie, but unfortunately it just wasn't that good.
