Nice to see you here g-bone! You are lucky you have both channels. As much I know I get irritated with the edits and commercials, but there’s something nostalgic about watching it on live tv.
Yeah, I am trying my best to keep it alive by popping in here and there, but I forget about it sometimes.

I’ve been trying my best to help out businesses the best that I can. Since I’m no longer on campus as my job as a T.A., it’s hard to get takeout at times. I try my best to do what I can.
I hope everyone here is having a great time and have some wonderful meals in front of them.
andreaahr that sounds amazing! I was thinking of doing that too. Have a fruit, veggies, and cheese platter. I do have shrimp in the freezer, but I just don’t want to deal with that. I hope you’re enjoying your meals! Keep us updated!

Same here! Drinking for the adults later tonight. A friend said she’s going to come observe tonight and we’re going to hangout with drinks and TZ.
I’m so sorry to hear about that. It’s unfortunate that a lot places are shutting down, I just want everyone to be safe and healthy. I’ll definitely check out that place. The Ono’s Hawaiian BBQ is what I’m having. I love their meals. I had it last year and might make it a tradition.

I have my TZ marathon shirt on and TZ cardigan. So I’m ready! I got them as gifts for the holidays. Today is the appropriate day to wear it (but really, everyday is!).
Unfortunately, I don’t have decades as well. I’m sticking with SyFy. I wish I can hop between the two. I hope everyone is enjoying the marathon.
Shannongr, that sounds amazing. Same here with the Hawaiian BBQ that in picking up. The Tiki place sounds great. I had a bagel sandwich for breakfast and I’m getting ready for lunch and dinner. Prepping snacks as well. I still have three bottles of Martinelli’s cider and a bottle of Jameson Irish Whisky for later.

I believe it is airing on Decades TV. Check your local listing to see if you have in your area by going over to there website and entering your zip code. I know most people don't have it in their area, which is unfortunate. I guess, I'll do my own marathon. Happy TZ day y'all!
Hey, manwithoutaplan! I am glad that you are enjoying TZ! Seriously, it is such a phenomenal show and I saw that it still holds up. Sure, it is a product of its time, however, the moral and commentary is still so relevant. It most certainly is way ahead of its time. Mr. Serling and company had to figure out way on how to mask their social commentary to get by the sponsors, advertisers, and censors. They were quite clever with their episodes.
Yes, the 1983 film used the original episodes premises (Kick the Can, It's a Good Life, Nightmare at 20,000 Feet) and had their own spin on them. The first one directed by John Landis is very similar to A Quality of Mercy. I would say check out the other alterations of TZ if you have not seen any of those. The 1985-1989, 2002-2003, and the current one 2019. They are takes of the TZ format, however, they commentate on the current times that they all respectively take place in.
You know, I noticed that they do snip out a few frames here and there. I caught one earlier today and yesterday. I can't think which episodes though, however, I did notice it.

I would have loved to switched over to Decades, but I no longer have it in my area for some reason. I used to, but they took it out.
It was a new one. "Remembering Rod Serling" that's the name of it. His daughter Jodi was interviewed for it, which was great. I felt that it was missing something and that it was missing Marc Scott Zicree. He would have been amazing in it. Pretty much they explored more of his life and what impacted him and how he inspired aspiring college students and writers. It was good, nonetheless, however, there were stuff that us hardcore TZ fans would already know, but it was well made and still informative. I would love to rewatch it again..
I know I am super late to this. I did attend the TZ 60th Anniversary here in California. It was nice to catch it on the big screen. My theater was empty, with only me and two other people that weren't with me. I cannot believe that only 3 people sat in this large stadium seating theater. I thought there would be a little more people attending. We had a great time though.
They ended up leaving after the episodes during the documentary portion and I was just there by myself.
