McDonald's becoming so corporate is probably the reason behind that. When firms become so large, often it's for the worse. I tend to think that Kroc was simply kissing the a** of Dick McD. Not surprising given what a manipulator Ray was. Kennedy would likely be considered Republican in today's America. I'm proud of Mac for killing that POS father of his. He should've been given Nobel Prize for it. Abusive parents deserve the WORST. That line was meant to be COMICAL, which it was. Why does everything have to be taken so seriously? I found this movie to be mediocre, but I at least derived a little pleasure in watching it. An opinion is like an a**, everyone's got one. When I watched this movie recently, my first impression was that the woman/turtle was a female supernatural being, such as a guardian angel or deity, whose purpose was to comfort and aid people who became marooned. Also, maybe the reason why she obstructed his attempts to leave the island was because she knew he wouldn't make it to a friendly ship or inhabited land. That obscenely lengthy "musical" in the traffic jam in the opening scene turned me off BADLY. I watched the next several scenes, only to feel that it was lame, so I turned it off and placed the DVD back in it's sleeve for return (I'm a DVD.com/Netflix subscriber.) The very lame opening scene virtually turned me off from the rest of the whole movie. I mean FOR REAL. That's still better than what Mike Tyson did in 1997. For real. I somewhat agree about the title but there's more to this movie than its unusual choice of name. I tend to favor Cinderella Man because it's a true life story and it's based on an earlier time period. One could say that I have a thing for historical dramas, particularly real life dramas. Giving my bad experiences with Apple, I am glad they were not used in the movie. I'm strictly an Android customer now. I agree. There are some scenes that should have been left in the movie and not been deleted. This applies to many movies. I was wondering what that meant. Thank you for providing a translation. I consider the skeletons in the dark lobby to be the scariest. There is something so mysterious about it. There already is a sequel to this movie. It is a 2011 TV movie. It should be available on DVD or Blu-ray. I think the point of the ending was to indicate that Nadine was accepting of their relationship in the end. That was my first impression anyway. I think the title's awkwardness is to indicate that the Edge of Seventeen is a very difficult and awkward time. I think the point of that scene was to make her realize that she does not need to live to make an impression on others. Making an impression on others it's not what it's cracked up to be usually. She did not need their approval. Although it was abrupt, I think it did a good job with just a relatively short ending. Endings do not always have to be greatly long and detailed, and sometimes the short ending is sufficient. This was one of the movies for which that was the case. Sometimes it's good to leave something to the imagination.
