I acutally saw it as a parody of feminism, as the man-hating themes were so over the top it became laughable. This was underlined by the fact that the female cook who stabbed Finnes in the thigh, was also revealed to be the one who proudly exclaims that she "was the one who came up with the idea of everyone dying", which perfectly encapsulates what feminism is all about.
Yeah. It was a play on the lore regarding Norwegian trolls who are known for "smelling the blood of Christians", mixed with the extremely violent true history of the Christening of Norway, where every Norwegian citizen had to chose between the bible or the sword.
Uhm... In what way did this hate on Christianity?
Haha, good one :)
There was definitely a bunch of feminism, and "inclusive" casting.
This video explains it fairly well: https://youtu.be/dQw4w9WgXcQ
I would say it's even beyond that, and one of the greatest movies ever made. The screenplay, acting, cinematography and directing all come together to make an absolutely perfect film.
The guards would have to eat too though. So I'd just follow in their footsteps, when they got up and left. What could they do about it?
Or else what?
Mad Max 1 is not all that good. The 2nd film took the concept to a whole other level.
Same with El Mariachi and Desperado, even though that was more of a requel.
And since you mentioned Evil Dead 2, you might also count the amateur short, titled Within the Woods, which Sam Raimi made just to get funding for Evil Dead 1.
And speaking of super hero movies, then you should not forget the highly praised The Suicide Squad which is infinitely better than the universally panned Suicide Squad.
Absolutely. She's super hot too.
Parts of it were already there, but he also dug out new parts and expanded it a great deal.
But it's not like it's the only example of people finding secret areas beneath their houses:

6. Don't touch police cars.
Haven't you heard of Fritzl? Dude built an underground apartment and had his daughter and grandchildren captive there for decades without anybody noticing.
Yeah, you're not so hot on the understanding there either, buster ;)
How does 30 year old music have anything to do with "progression of what was popular at a point in time for people"... when relating to people who were barely even born in the 90s?
You said it happens with 50/60-somthings. I said it also happens with 30-somethings.
Thus "not just some times, but all the time".
Except it doesn't just happen some times. It happens all the time.
Even when hip new directors in their 30s make Hollywood films or tv-shows where some characters go to a club or rave, they still seem to have a no knowledge of what has happened in the world of music for the last 30 years.
Personally, I've never gone clubbing in America, but I'm guessing they don't actually still play this dated music on a regular basis? Or are all American clubs always having a retro night, every single night?
True, IMDB has always been greatly restricted by overzealous moderators, especially back when it still had a discussion forum.
But I actually didn't mention anything about Kirk's private life in the review though. So I'm sticking with the theory that she sexually extoted a low-level IMDB intern :)
I wrote one for The Reckoning (2020) that got a lot of likes and turned into the most popular review by far, which meant it was always the first one you'd see. But one day my review was deleted without warning, even though I had been careful not to use any curse words or broken the guidelines what so ever.
I had however tried to describe just how terrible the star, Charlotte Kirk, was in the film. And knowing that she has actually engaged in sexual affairs and subsequently blackmailed producers just to get roles in movies, I'm guessing that she got so angry from my review that she somehow managed to get it deleted. Probably by sleeping with an IMDB employee.
...says the man screaming to himself =)
